We had a few hours of blue sky in Toronto which was nice. This is the new building they're making
at Distillery District.
... Voting for 2008 Weblog Awards for best Photoblog will continue until the 13th
(next Tuesday). If you want to vote, you can do so once every 24 hours by following this link.
Being nominated alongside two of my favourite sites of all time; The Big Picture and Strobist; is a great honour. The nominees
list also reminded me of the always excellent The Online Photographer which I spent many hours reading in the last few days alone.
Check out all the nominees, there are some amazing stuff there.

Testing the high ISO settings for the Canon 5D Mark II. This one is shot at ISO 3200 and no noise
reduction is done to it. Pretty impressive in my opinion. Check out a larger version on flickr.
Shot at Yonge and Dundas.

Toronto's Yonge and Dundas in Snow Storm.
I’m playing with the Canon 5D Mark II and so far it's been really great. The resolution and
the detail is remarkable. And after shooting hundreds of frames for over an hour in snow storm it
proved to be really weather resistant. The camera was completely wet and the wheel at the back
was frozen so I had to break the ice to turn it but the camera came out unharmed and performed
great. I'll post more impressions later.

We've had a lot of grey days recently in Toronto. I needed a sunny photo so here's one from our
last trip to California.
