Bible Runner .0.2
(KDE Improvement)
Provides a runner to quickly look up verses from the Holy Bible. Selecting a matched verse will both copy the verse into the clipboard and open the verse on studylight.org to facilitate further study.

At present, this runner only supports the English Standard Version (ESV) but both New American Standard (NASB) and King James (KJV) versions are intended to be included in a future release.

Ark Add_To service menu improvement 1.2

A proposal for new "Add To" service menu for Ark. Added separator, zip, jar, 7z, tar, tar.bz2, tar.lzma and tar.xz entries.

Modified service menu is uploaded, feel free to test it out. :)

NOTE: Ark cannot create .tar.lzma and .tar.xz archives! Instead, it creates .tar.gz and renames it into .tar.lzma or .tar.xz. So the service menu entries for these archive types are useless until the bug:

Displays a window with information such as favourite tracks, albums, artists etc.

It is based on a weight factor for each track/album/artist, which can be based on rating, score, length and playcount. Each weight factor can be adjusted through a slider.

You can also search for favourites by a specific artist or genre etc. Double-clicking on an item adds it to your playlist.

unrarArchive is a servicemenu for kde4 and unpack rar archive. It'll not display, when you type a wrong passwort, so you can kill the dialog unrarArchive with ksysguard "strg" or "crlt"+"esc".

I don't know, it'll work for kde4.4. Under my system the output windows (screenshot 2) doesn't work correctly. It's display a empty window, perhaps a error under PCLinuxOS Beta

BeShadowed 0.1

Since the Oxygen decoration paints it's own shadows, the shadow plugin got pretty stepchilded.

a) it's horribly imperformant (if I play a video it's causing ~2/3 of the kwin cpu load...)
b) it's broken with XRender & translucency
c) it could use some more options ;-)
d) The heavy exponential shadow is maybe nice, but neither realistic (real shdows cast rather sharp borders), nor effective (most of the HUGE shadow is so much translucent that you can hardly see anything of it...)

So I started to work on it.
Not much of a help for oxygen, but most other decorations (QtCurve has deco shadows as well), consistent and (hopefully) less artefact prone ;-P

Ultimately this should go back upstream but testing outside the release cycle won't hurt - i assume :)

Version 0.1 performance is up to decoration shadows for one window (heavy repaints in a video) but doesn't scale as good, there also might be artefacts left (didn't see any though) but good enough for a first version, i hopefully can speed up things even more

KCM webcam support 0.2

This is a modified version of Password & User Account section in System Settings, add webcam support for user image. This modification is based on Opencv library basically because it is multiplatform.

Is tested in KDE 4.4 (4.4.1)

Compile as tipical KDE application.
Extract files with
tar -xzf kcm.tar.gz

Enter to kcm directory
cd kcm/

Create a build directory
mkdir build

Exectue cmake:
cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr ..

Then excute make

and finally install

make install (as root)

IMPORTANT: In order to compile this files you need the OpenCV module, you can download from http://opencv.willowgarage.com/wiki/Getting_started?action=AttachFile&do=view&target=FindOpenCV.cmake

NOTE: When compiling you could have problems with a cvconfig.h, apparently this is a OpenCV bug but only need copy this file to your OpenCV's include directory.

KDE OBS generator is a tool that makes it simple to package KDE application in the openSUSE build service for multiple distributions. Using documentation (and a tutorial) at http://en.opensuse.org/KDE/Build_Service/Cross-distro it is possible to create .rpm and .deb packages for several versions of openSUSE, Fedora, Kubuntu and Mandriva.

Since kde-apps.org has support for providing download links pointing to the build service, kde-obs-generator can make it very easy to provide binary packages even for developers with little or no packaging experience.

Note that the tool is currently still considered experimental and work in progress, but it is usable and a number of packages have been already created using it (see e.g. http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/llunak:/kdetest).
