Hello,
I have searched the forums, but did not find a Remote help thread to post to.
I am having trouble with the Apple Remote iPod Touch App. My device shows up in iTunes, I enter the
passcode correctly, but when I go to play a song, it simply doesn't play.
I don't know if it's a firewall thing, but I am in the same Wi-Fi network, and my iPod Touch is
2.2, not jailbroken.
Please help! Thanks!

I like how my IntelliMouse's drivers and other utilities like QuicKeys allow me to set
per-application settings. Is there a utility which does this for Modifier Keys? I have System
Preferences' Keyboard & Mouse remapped just how I like it for most, but not all applications,
and having to manually change them each time I switch between these apps is cumbersome.
Any recommendations? Thanx. :)

I just installed the Windows 7 6801 Beta on my MacBook Pro, and to my surprise, it runs very well!
I just had a problem with the wireless.... it won't find the drivers for it, and the MacBook disk
didn't work. Does anybody know where I can get a driver for it? Thanks!

These days people are looking everywhere to find new, cheap, and plentiful sources of electricity,
and while you wouldn't call it new, the ocean is certainly cheap and plentiful. Plentiful
too are the people attempting to convert its motion
into power by
tapping its waves or extracting
its heat. But what about lesser waters moving at a leisurely 3 knots? Those lazy flows make up
the majority of all currents and are exactly the target of VIVACE, a series of tubes (seriously)
that relies on vortex induced vibrations (the VIV) to create clean aquatic energy (the, uh, ACE).
The idea is that the cylindrical shapes create turbulence in slow-moving water, oscillating up and
down in electricity-generating ways. It's all the brainchild of Michael Bernitsas, a professor at
the University of Michigan, and is partly funded by the US Department of Energy -- your tax dollars
at work, you eco-pioneer you.

Introducing "Simple"
Hey everyone, TouchPwn here.
I have been working a lot lately on this theme. I named it "Simple" because I felt like it. It was
actually hard to make, and I'm glad that it turned out so nicely. Please feel free to give your
opinion. Tell me what you think, what I could improve on my next theme, etc.
Below is a preview of the theme.
Note, this is my first theme and I am extremely new to image editing programs. I used GIMP for this
theme, but as my skill level increases I will more than likely switch to Photoshop.
The .zip file is attatched below. Feel free to use it, change it up, and tell a friend or enemy
about it.
On a few of the icons, I used glyphs from the following link: http://macthemes2.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=16785605
They were very helpful, but most of them weren't any good for my theme. I used a few, and I
recommend you check them out.
I will add this theme to a SOURCE soon! Check for updates on this thread for the link in the
future. Once the link is posted, go check it out in Cydia!
For now, just use the attatchment below and simply SSH into your iPod with your favorite SSH
program. I'm not going to give you a guide on how to do that because most of you should. If you
don't know how, search above for ssh guide or something.
Thanks, and remember to tell me what you think.

What's the quickest way to come up to speed in Java and the java Beans IDE? I don't need to learn
programming.
Some background:
I've got 25+ years full time experience with C, C++, Ada, Perl, Assembly and lots more. I just
found out I need to fix a long list of bugs in a large Java based system. It's an industrial
control app that has interfaces to many devices and a GUI. As they say a "non-trivial" application.
I've worked on this kind of stuff for years but just not in Java or java beans.
I's not like I can't find a book on this subject. But which to get.
Thanks.

Crazy I know, but hear me out im wondering if its possible to install windows Vista on an Imac as
the MAIN OS.. and from within that OS have a VMWARE partition that has OSX installed.
I know some are askign WHY oh WHY would you even do that, just dual boot and I understand. Im
asking IF it would work?
if not VMWARE does anything else allow it? Should work as its NATIVE Apple hardware..

When 2.2 came out I tried to down load the update.... I thought it loaded ok... but the install
crashed when I tried to load it onto the 3g phone... I had to go to Apple and get the phone
restored..... (I thought it was the phone)
Tonight I connected another phone to my computer and it wanted to update from 2.1 to 2.2..... it
crashed again... had to go to Apple again. They suggested uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling
it.... my question is this...
Is the 2.2 upgrade deleted with iTunes when I uinstalled it?
I am running an xp pc....
Any help woul be appreciated!

I don't even know how this app is possible. Apparently it lets you weigh objects by placing them on
your iPhone's screen. This doesn't even make sense because the iPhone is capacitance touch; it
can't sense the pressure of your finger on the screen. Link.
From the developer:
Quote: This amazing application takes the iphone further than you could ever imagine. Weigh any
object by placing it on your iPhone. It could not be any simpler.
Instructions:
1. Place iPhone on anything soft and compressible like a pillow or a cushion.
2. Start the iWeigh application.
2. Lightly place the object on the iphone.
3. Let go of the object.
4. After a few seconds remove the object.
5. The weight will be displayed on the screen.
Warning:
1. Never place heavy objects directly on your iphone.
2. Do not DROP objects onto your iphone. Place objects just touching the iphone and let go. Who is
going to be the first to spend waste 99 cents on this app? Not me...let me know if you do get it to
work though. I can't see how it possibly could!
This has to be fake...but how could Apple let it through?

the president of programming who also worked with Barry Diller at USA Networks and Universal

reasons and referred to IAC public relations for details. As we pointed a

title="out in some detail"out in some detail/a recently, Diller said in the Q308 earnings call that
IAC would shed some of its emerging businesses and was rethinking investments; this appears to be
part of that strategic shift. /p p Jackson's group has been responsible for IAC's efforts to
develop, acquire and distribute "content-based" sites including CollegeHumor.com; Very Short List
(VSL); 236.com; RushmoreDrive.com and Tina Brown's recently launched Daily Beast. The results have
been uneven and some of the sites are among those likely to be sold. For instance, a

could wind up be entirely owned by HuffPo. Kurt Andersen's eclectic a

something like the programming group. On the safe list, I'm told: a

I have a very old iMac G3 that's still working. I was wondering whether I should upgrade it to
Tiger or Panther, but I'm not sure whether it would be capable of running OS X. I tried looking for
the computer specs, but I couldn't find it. It's running OS 8.6 right now.
I am still not sure whether to upgrade, because this computer gives me so many memories. The
Operating system and the files give me all these memories from the past, but a simple back-up of
all of the files doesn't sound good to me, because the operating system is a big thing. The big
question is... should I upgrade? Can I dual boot the system to OS X and 8.6 as well? Please help
me. Thanks!
EDIT: I also have a MacBook, so I wasn't sure whether I should upgrade it to OS X. I haven't used
the iMac for a while, because 8.6 doesn't seem as great as OS X. Do you think I should upgrade it
to OS X?
