Rachida Dati s’est déclarée favorable aux mesures proposées par la
commission chargée de réviser l’ordonnance de 45, relative à la
justice des mineurs, et notamment à l’idée de ramener à 12 ans

I have a MacBook Pro Model: A1260 and it has the DVI video out (I bought it 3 weeks prior to the
new model... grrr!). I want to know if I can adapt from my DVI output to the Displayport input of a
new 24" LED Cinema Display... actually what I really want is dual 24's but I don't think is in the
budget, nor am I sure if the laptop is capable of it. I am running at 1440 x 900.

Hello everyone, well i just spent an hour writing a new thread only to loose it ! no I'm really
bummed!
To cut a long story short, i spent alot of money on my home studio and i don't have the brains to
get it working ! I'm at least six months into having everything set up and have nothing to show for
it ! my main hang up is getting my head around midi stuff and how to get it to bounce to disc with
the other audio tracks ? do you need to make midi into an audio track to bounce to disc ? I find it
hard to learn this stuff when i often don't even understand what the manual is telling me to do?
need a dp for dummies ! oh i'm so lost don't know where to start or who to ask ? anyone know of any
good tutorials for beginners or dvd's that speak in a newbies language ?
If i could just get the midi stuff figured out i'd have enough to start making my music and i'm
sure i'd work the rest out along the way !
Well thanks for listening.
Any west australians here using dp ?

Hello all. Recently, I've seen a video of Darfur and the children being abused
since they were four years old. This greatly saddened me about how the world revovled around me
while I'm here living in America with a good wife, sister, brother, family, car, house, clothes,
shelther, and food.
I just want some input from the MacRumors community on what you guys believe should a basic human
life should be.
Here is my list
- Food
- Shelter
- Family
- Love
- A Macintosh :P
-
I really believe that we should currently do more than what we are doing in order to stop this
international crisis of genocide. It truly does sadden me.
Thank you to everyone who contributes to this thread.
Please do not go into politics or economics on this matter. This is only about what the basic
human life should be. What should be allowed/should not be.

So I've cleaned all my components except the HDD bay fans on my G5 Powermac. I've searched google
about 5 pages deep and no luck. I have the service manual but it doesn't show how to remove those
fans either. Anyone know of a link that shows how to remove them? I'm very good at taking stuff
apart but I just can't seem to take this fan assembly apart. Maybe it's my kryptonite?
Thanks.

Hey guys, soon Il be heading off to college so I wanted a new laptop for Christmas. I was searching
for high quality laptops and came across the new MacBook and instantly fell in love with it. I
would REALLY prefer the 2.4 because of the speed and keyboard, plus, I intend to keep it for a few
years so I figured the 2.4 would be the way to go.
The problem is convincing my dad to shell out that kind of cash, so this will probly be my only
present for Christmas lol. I know that there is a student discount which will help my dad out so I
was wondering if anyone knew how much the discount would take off of the $1600 price tag.
Also, when (if) I think that he is going to get it, Im getting myself the 4gb ram and 320gb 7200
rpm hdd!

A friend of mine gave me a PowerPC G5 that he never uses. I would like to give my Intel MacBook to
my wife to replace her WinXP laptop, but if I do, then I wont be able to write iPhone apps on the
G5 (it needs to be intel based). So I was wondering in it's possible to buy an Intel motherboard
and chip that is compatible with the G5's case? Before I pry it open I want to know if all of the
networking, video and other components will still work when I put in a new mobochipram.
Also, is there anyway that I can look in the System Profiler or Disk Utility to see if this machine
has a RAID card? When I go to the Raid tab in Disk Utility, it lists a RAID name, format and type.
I'm assuming that means there is some kind of RAID on the G5. Or are those default values that are
always there?

When I try to run solver in Excel, it crashes the program. It started happening only occasionally,
usually if I tried to run Solver more than once in the same spreadsheet, but now it happens every
time. I uninstalled and reinstalled the value pak, installed all updates, and did the disk utility
repair, but all to no avail. I've seen this same question pop up pretty frequently in older posts -
is there a solution?
I've got an ibook G4 running OS X 10.4.11 with Excel 2004.

I feel like I have no brains. I am having trouble copying and pasting. Specifically, I want to copy
the code on Playlist.com and paste it to my page on Sodahead.com. I know all about ctrl - C, ctrl -
V, I even bought a rt and left click mouse. I highlight the appropriate code, go to Edit or rt.
click mouse to copy. When I move the cursor to where I want to paste it, the paste is no longer an
option because it brings the Sodahead page to the front. I've been able to add pictures and text to
the site, (questions and answers) and I've 'added media' to my profile. But to save my life I can't
get my playlist to paste on my profile page. Has anyone who has a MacBook had the same problem or
am I the only 'dense' one of the bunch.:confused:

So just yesterday I was charging my ipod. When registering, I accidently put replacement ipod
(though I also just have a regular ipod sharing the same computer with my iTouch now). I saw that
my old songs where downloading onto my new itouch. Not likeing most of the songs, I quickly exited
iTunes and stopped charging my itouch.
Anyways, after that I clicked on one of my four apps. to play with, but they would load momentarily
then quickly exit on me before I could actually play around on the apps (I have Urbanspoon, Spawn,
Translator and iDoodle2lite). I began fiddling around with the iTouch in hopes to fix it, I began
moving the icons arounds and noticed that all 4 has small 'x's in the top corner.
There still not working from me and this is day two or three. DId I do something wrong that caused
this to happen like stated in the first paragraph? Please HELP!!!!!!!

cellphones/a. But how long must you talk before you can... talk? Science Daily reports that Tahir
Cagin, a professor in the chemical engineering department at Texas AM, has merged the really old
science of piezoelectrics with the very new science of nanotechnology to discover that a technique
for harvesting energy actually gets way more efficient at the nano level. Specifically, when a
piezoelectric film used to convert vibrations into energy is reduced to around 21 nanometers in
thickness, it's suddenly twice as good at converting the energy. There's not a lot of detail on the
uses for this technology just yet, andmdash;like other vibration-power systemsmdash;the earliest
uses would probably be in very low energy applications such as sensors. But the article does
suggest this could have "potentially profound effects for low-powered electronic devices such as
cell phones, laptops, personal communicators and a host of other computer-related devices," though
I wonder if that wasn't just thrown in to make people like me excited about it. It worked. I am. [a

I asked this question the other day, but apparently not precise enough.
I do NOT want to "convert" my Boot Camp installation to a virtual one. I want to know if ONE
installation in Boot Camp can be CONTINUED to be used by booting via Boot Camp, while also when I
am using OS X, log into it virtually?
So, I do not want to convert it over and lose the capability to log in via boot camp. A couple of
days per month I need to primarily use Windows for a client. Those days I want to login to Boot
Camp and use Windows. On the other days, I want to be able to use Windows via virtual access. As I
may need to randomly access a Windows program but will use OS X Leopard the vast majority of work
days.
Can I do this? Or, do I need two separate Windows installations, one in boot camp partition and one
in virtual partition? Also, same thing for Office Pro 2007 in Windows??? Reinstall for both
partitions required? Allowed? Possible? Do I need separate Windows keys and licenses?
Thanks for all assistance. I am trying to ensure best of both worlds here. As I am fortunate enough
to use Leopard 28 days of the month and need Windows only a couple of days. But, would like
flexibility to use Windows either via Boot Camp or via Virtual installation from Leopard.
Happy Holidays.

We'll be totally honest -- we pretty much blew Ruslan Kogan off when he
proclaimed that he was about to push out a $199 Android phone by the year's end. And
truthfully, the guy still hasn't totally delivered, but you won't find us kvetching about
more Googlephones, regardless of MSRP. The Agora (AU$299; US$192) and Agora Pro (AU$399; US$256)
are available for pre-order as we speak, though neither are scheduled to ship out until the end of
January. For those unfamiliar with
Kogan, it's an online-only enterprise that has wares built specifically to its dimensions in
China, and so far as we can tell, it's as legit as they come. As for specs, the Agora packs a
2.5-inch touchscreen (320 x 240), 3G networking, a backlit QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth 2.0 and a
microSD card slot; the Pro adds in GPS, 2-megapixel camera and WiFi. So, with unsubsidized prices
this low, are you willing to take a chance?

Which one do you think the MBP will last longer?
Turn it on and off daily, which i use about 3 hours a day on the new MBP (not unibody) or should I
just put it to sleep when it isn't in use? Again, i use my older powerbook g4 and so i don't use
this MBP during the night just a few hours at night.
Thanks.
