/It's almost hard to believe that a few months ago Mercury was headed for the River Styx. Now it's
slated to live, although life is only slowly returning. The Mercury Milan sat up on its plinth at
the LA Auto Show today and didn't do much - not even turn - but it didn't look too bad. The
revamped model has a new grille, fenders, hood, front and rear fascias, and a cleaner underbody for
aerodynamic reasons. Inside gets more leather - embossed skins on the Premier Edition - and
backlighting for the gauges. The 3.0L V6 gets an extra 19 hp to touch 240, and you'll get up to 5
mpg more than those other, previous-gen Milan owners. Sorry, no 3.5L V6 for the Milan though, as
that larger, more powerful engine is exclusive to the new Fusion Sport. But the Milan has also been
filled with more electronic doodads than the CES convention. Check them all out after the jump, and
check out the gallery of high-res photos below.br /br /div class="postgallery"pstrongGallery: a

Of the many television and film documentaries produced on Jonestown, the 2006 PBS American
Experience feature Jonestown: Life and Death of People's Temple, directed by Stanley Nelson, seems
to me to be one of the most sensitive and comprehensive. I read somewhere that Jim Jones' adopted
son -- who appears in this film -- also felt that way. Google Video embed above, and here's the
link. Amazon Link to purchase DVD, and here is the PBS website, with additional background....br

template qui me préoccupe durant mes minutes perdues.

 Be honest with
yourself: you've always wanted a dedicated, 16-key emoticon keyboard with "keys" that pulled
doubled duty as expressive jewelry, right? Well, you got it! Bajca's Smile Keypad aims to "make
real the emoticon," and as far as we can tell, they've totally nailed it. The USB-friendly keyboard
has classic smiley face-looking keys which pop out using some special tongs, then are popped into
pieces of jewelry -- rings, bracelets, necklaces -- sky's the limit, apparently. It's not really
crystal clear if all of these pieces are going to be included, or if they'll be sold separately, or
if this is ever going to make it to the market. All we can do is hope. Check out a few more
emotionally charged shots after the break.
[Thanks, Matilde]

funciona.
Alguien sabe que está pasando?? Cómo puedo resolverlo?

Theres some ingo about next, paid, multiplayer version of Aurora Feint, called Aurora Feint: The
Arena
Quote: Last night we were able to speak briefly with Danielle Cassley and Jason Citron, the
developers of Aurora Feint: The Beginning [App Store] about their next major release which has just
been submitted to the App Store.
For those not familiar with the original Aurora Feint, it was one of the first games to appear on
the iPhone back in July and won a huge following due to its polish and complexity (not to mention
also being free). The developers are following up the success of the original with a new pay
version that builds on the existing world and adds head-to-head competition into the mix.
Aurora Feint: The Arena, as it is called, contains all the components of the original game which
revolve around a typical color-matching game but set in a role playing environment. Players can
earn crystals while ”mining” and subsequently level up and
purchase additional tools to add to your abilities.
The new game reframes the ”tools” as
”weapons” which can be taken into battle. The central feature of
the new game appears to be the ability to play unique competitive battles against other
players.
Rather than ”synchronous” head to head competitions, the
developers are proud of the unique ”asynchronous” system they
have developed that seems well suited for casual gaming. This means that you can sit down and play
against opponents who aren’t actually online at the same time as you are.
The developers accomplished this by allowing users to play 90 second sessions called ”ghost
sessions” in which you try to do their best. Players are allowed to
bring three weapons (that they’ve earned) into the battle. This gaming session is saved for
others to challenge at any time. Particularly aggressive players can actually affect other
player’s boards and slow down their play (see Mana Orb docs).
The game also incorporates social aspects allowing users to leave comments and challenges on other
player’s ”walls”. Meanwhile, a world newsfeed provides a
constant ticker of real-time events taking place by other players. Overall, the game also seems to
offer a lot more guidance and documentation than the original.
The game should appear in the App Store within the next few days and will be priced at $9.99.

If you have an iPhone, you’ll probably want to check out SnapTell Explorer, a
free application now available on the App Store. The premise is simple: take a photo of the cover
of any CD, DVD, book, or video game, and the application will automatically identify the product
and find ratings and pricing information online.
I was skeptical when I first saw the app - the iPhone has long had difficulty with image
processing for barcodes, and most image recognitions systems I’ve tried on other platforms
have been iffy at best. But SnapTell just works. Every time.
The app correctly identified just about everything I threw at it: Xbox games, Pocketbook
O’Reilly manuals, The Dalai Lama’s Little Book of Wisdom, Kurt Vonegut novels, and a
number of more obscure books (yes, it worked on The Twinkies Cookbook). It even managed to ID a
copy of Civilization 4, despite the fact that it was covered in obnoxious price tags and
stickers. I actually tried to mess it up by taking photos in poor lighting and odd
angles, but the app still stayed nearly flawless. No, it doesn’t have everything - I
managed to stump it on a book about Danish Grammar - but it will do just fine for any trip to a
retail store.
But while SnapTell seems to have the technology perfected, the app itself still needs a little
work. Once you’ve located a product there is no rating or description offered - instead
you’re directed to the appropriate links on stores like Amazon and Barnes and Noble (it
would be nice if some basic rating information was pulled into the app). There’s also
currently no way to quickly view a product’s price across multiple online stores, though
this will be included in the next release which is expected in the next few weeks. The UI could
also use some more polish - buttons are oddly placed, and the app doesn’t look nearly as
slick as it should.
SnapTell works best on Wi-Fi and 3G, but also supports Edge (it takes around 10-15 seconds to
upload the image on the slower network, versus a moment or two). The application will also be
coming to the Android soon, and will feature both the image recognition seen on the iPhone
version as well as barcode lookup (which is popular on Android but very difficult to pull off on
the iPhone). The app was developed by SnapTell, a company
that primarily focuses on image-recognition based marketing, and is making use of the
company’s 5 million+ product database.

If you click on over to BDTV you can check out the
official trailer for Henry Selick's (Nightmare Before Christmas) latest animated stop-motion
feature Coraline,
courtesy of Yahoo! Movies. In the 3-D feature, a young girl walks through a secret door in her new
home and discovers an alternate version of her life. On the surface, this parallel reality is
eerily similar to her real life only much better. But when this wondrously off-kilter, fantastical
adventure turns dangerous, and her counterfeit parents (including Other Mother) try to keep her
forever, Coraline must count on her resourcefulness, determination, and bravery to get back home
and save her family.
