An instrumental rock band from London, England, Loss of a Child use pianos, string sections,
guitars and drums to create a classically-influenced post-rock noise. With elements boarding on
quiet ambience and others with distorted guitars and crashing drums, the ambitious nature with the
classical instruments sets Loss of a Child apart from many leftfield acts, producing a hugely epic
sound. 'Caught and Lost' is the natural progression from Loss of a Child's debut, continuing the
ideal of producing an album over a collection of songs. 'Caught and Lost' is essentially a 40+
minute piece, and works all the better for it. The emotions vary throughout, taking the listener on
a journey from beginning to end. Loss of a Child has expanded it's sound to create a masterpiece of
originality within instrumental rock.

With the judge agreeing that the information about Megan Meier's suicide a
href="http://www.techdirt.com/articles/20081116/1429252839.shtml"can be included/a in the computer
fraud lawsuit against Lori Drew, Drew's lawyers are discovering that the emotional aspects of the
case may be difficult to get past. In fact, in reviewing questionnaires that potential jurors were
asked to fill out, a href="http://blog.wired.com/27bstroke6/2008/11/lawyer-potentia.html"
target="_new"many expressed outright disgust and "viciousness" for Drew/a. Once again, it's
becoming increasingly clear, that it will be impossible for Drew to get a fair hearing on what the
case is iactually/i about: whether or not it's a violation of computer fraud and hacking laws to
break the terms of service for an online service. Instead, people are focusing on Meier's suicide,
which has absolutely nothing to do with the actual charges. This is a witch hunt appealing to
emotional responses, rather than reasoned ones. It's been rather depressing to see how many folks
have no problem abusing the law in this manner. If the lynch mob aspect of this case is allowed to
go on, it will eventually be looked back on as a mockery of the law.br /br /a

/It's almost hard to believe that a few months ago Mercury was headed for the River Styx. Now it's
slated to live, although life is only slowly returning. The Mercury Milan sat up on its plinth at
the LA Auto Show today and didn't do much - not even turn - but it didn't look too bad. The
revamped model has a new grille, fenders, hood, front and rear fascias, and a cleaner underbody for
aerodynamic reasons. Inside gets more leather - embossed skins on the Premier Edition - and
backlighting for the gauges. The 3.0L V6 gets an extra 19 hp to touch 240, and you'll get up to 5
mpg more than those other, previous-gen Milan owners. Sorry, no 3.5L V6 for the Milan though, as
that larger, more powerful engine is exclusive to the new Fusion Sport. But the Milan has also been
filled with more electronic doodads than the CES convention. Check them all out after the jump, and

A small update on the PlayStation Blog
could mean big-ish things for the PSP homebrew scene. SCEA's Eric Lempel reports that PSP firmware
5.02 is due soon, and that it "improves system software stability during use of some features,
including the PlayStation Store." Which, as all conspiracy theorists know, is code for "We're going
to break your custom firmware."
Of course, for the majority of PSP owners, there will likely be some actual improvements to system
stability. No amount of firmware magicks will ever be able to fix those dern
scanlines on the PSP-3000 PSP Brite, though.
Heads up,
hackers: PSP firmware 5.02 inbound originally appeared on Joystiq on Wed, 19 Nov 2008 17:30:00 EST. Please see our terms for use of feeds.

WiiBuilder 1.0 formerly known as
GRRLIB Converter is a Windows software to use for Wii homebrew development.
Usage
The File tab is use to:
Convert Portable Network Graphics (.png) to C array in header file (.h), works with GRRLIB 3.0 and
libwiisprite
Convert Images (.gif, .bmp, .jpeg or .jpg) to header file (.h), works with GRRLIB 2.0 or less
Convert XML (.xml) to C array in header file (.h)
Convert GRRLIB 2.0 (or less) screenshot (.grr) to Portable Network Graphics (.png)
Load Wii executables files (.dol) from a computer to a Wii with the Homebrew Channel, IP address
must be entered in the Settings
Compile Makefile to (.dol and .elf), you must have "make" available in your path
You just need to drop a file in the list box. If drag-and-drop is not working (Wine), you could
simply right click on the list box to bring the popup menu. From the menu, select Add a File to the
List..., in the Open dialog box you could select multiple files. If you don't want to open the
software, just drag-and-drop files on the program icon. This is because the software accepts
command line, just type WiiBuilder myfile.png. When the files are generated, they overwrite
existing ones.
The Font Generator tab is use to generate a image (PNG or Bitmap) from a specific font on your
system. PNG files will have the GRRLIB 3.0 format and Bitmap files will only work with GRRLIB 2.0
or less. Just select the font, size and style you need and click on the Generate Image button to
open the Save As dialog box. The antialiasing option only works when you are saving a PNG file.
The Color Converter is a tool convert color from one format to another. It could be used to convert
colors from 24-bit truecolor to 16-bit highcolor code. Result could be shown in Hex or Dec.
Finally, the Settings tab is use to save your configurations in the registry. If you want to delete
the software it's best to click on the Clean Registry button to delete all registry entry.

width="640" height="480" style="display:block;float:none;" /For office drones at big companies such
as ATT, United Health Group and Cigna, booting up their computers at the start of the day and
waiting for them to shut down takes some decent time. Like 20 minutes at the start and end of the
day. And they sure don't like the fact that their weasely employers have decided to not pay them
for that time. So, of course, they're suing./p pAll three of the above companies have been hit with
lawsuits dealing with the issue, and lawyers who tackle it are making a decent buck off of it. One
the one hand, the companies claim that people aren't working while their computers boot, instead
chatting with coworkers or having a coffee. On the other hand, if you have to be in a cubicle,
you're working, and it's not the employees fault that their crap computers take so long to get
revved up./p pBut hey, this is America, so we'll leave it for the courts to decide. [a
