Just a few months ago, when Google launched its "Lively" 3D chat offering, I a
href="http://www.techdirt.com/articles/20080708/1747161625.shtml"questioned Google's strategy/a, as
it didn't seem to offer anything different or compelling. Some people here a
href="http://www.techdirt.com/articles/20080708/1819441626.shtml"disagreed/a, and believed Google
would be able to turn the service into something compelling, but that appears not to be. Since the
launch, to be honest, I can't recall ever hearing about Lively again -- and had pretty much
forgotten it existed. And, indeed, less than six months after launching it, a
href="http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2008/11/lively-no-more.html" target="_new"Google has killed
off Lively/a, admitting that the experiment was something of a failure. br /br / There seems to be
a growing pattern in figuring out which Google projects are a success and which will fail. When it
merely copies something others are doing, as with Lively, it tends not to do very well. When it
ichanges the game/i, as it did originally with things like Google Maps (the first real AJAXy
mapping solution) and Gmail (huge storage and AJAXy front end), then it gets usage. Google's
success has always been in reimagining products that people seem to believe are mature, and
completely reshaping how people think about those products. That was true with maps (which had been
dominated by MapQuest and Yahoo Maps for years) and email... and it was even true in search. People
thought the search market was too crowded when Google showed up, but its solution was so different
and so much more compelling it got attention. Lively, on the other hand, was a pure me-too play.
There are half-a-dozen other offerings that effectively do the same thing. Google didn't give
anyone a real ireason/i to use Lively... and, so it shouldn't be too surprising that Lively is now
dead.br /br /a href="http://techdirt.com/articles/20081119/2246282892.shtml"Permalink/a | a

co-founder Marc Rougier at the conference and he gave me a detailed demo of its product. a
href="http://www.goojet.com"Goojet/a allows users to easily get various Widgets on their phone and
manage them with a user friendly interface from the desktop website. It gives access to a lot of
Internet content without having to struggle (for the majority who do not own an iPhone) with the
mobile browser... that's cool. Nokia does the same with Widsets, Plusmo and Zumobi offer a similar
service; I did not test any of them. /p pAccording to Marc Rougier, Goojet has a social component
that the competition does not have. In the picture you see that in one click, you can send a widget
to a friend via Goojet, email or sms. other specific features include the widget viewer in the
desktop website and the suggested content pushed by the profiling engine. I tried it on my
BlackBerry and it is pretty cool, I lovethe quick access to all kinds of content, it is available
in English and French, and later in other languages. /p pYesterday, Goojet became accessible from

One of our clients this year wants an ecard, we've done the artwork but now we're stumped.
How do I get the Artwork to show up in an email like an ecard?
I know I could just drag into mail but will this show up in all email clients?
Mainly going to be web based and outlook.

Le Center for
