Nine
Inch Nails are probably one of the most important music groups in the world, currently, simply
because they’re paving a new way of treating their fans and understanding how the internet
works and how it can be used to your advantage.
After giving
away (or selling at really cheap prices) several of
their latest albums, they’ve continued to surprise fans with freebies. In a blog post on
the official band web site, band leader Trent
Reznor says that someone “somehow managed to film a substantial amount (over 400 GB!)
of raw, unedited HD footage from three separate complete shows of our Lights in the Sky
tour“, and provides a link to the footage.
Many other bands *cough* Metallica *cough* would be angry at quality footage of their
shows being leaked on the internet for free, but the Nine Inch Nails have simply embraced this as
yet another possibility to give something extra to their loyal fanbase. Of course, there’s
always the possibility that the NIN actually filmed and released the footage themselves, but
it’s irrelevant; what’s important is the fact that this band understands that they
provide a wealth of fun and happiness to their listeners and that most of it should be freely
shared, not divided into little pieces, hidden, and sold for the highest possible price.

//centerbr / p[CES 2009] Don't you just hate it when those blister plastic packs and packaging that
you purchase are so hard to open, and often hold the risk of cutting your fingers in the process?
MWV aims to change that with the Natralock packaging - as you can see, the SanDisk product on the
right features Natralock packaging while the one on the left is your typical environmentally
unfriendly PVC bundle. It would be a hoot if the folks at MWV took a stroll around the Digital
Experience showfloor and approached other companies that used similar PVC packaging to make a green
change. Apart from helping keep our environment cleaner, it will also help the product manufacturer
save money, as the Natralock package would cost just $0.008, while the standard PVC package would
cost $0.0151 in international shipping fees./p pPermalink: a

Can you guys please tell me what are the pros and cons of installing windows on the mac osx?
i have macbook and i'm thinking about installing windows using VirtualBox so that i can run some
windows programs on mac but i'm not sure its a good idea or not.
what if i got a virus or spyware while using windows on mac? Are they gonna just infect windows
files only or is it gonna destroy my whole hard drive including mac files also? i can afford to
lose windows because i won't be saving important files but i CAN'T afford to lose OSX. The only
reason i switch to mac was i got tired of Spyware and Viruses.
so if my OSX files will not effect if i got virus/spyware on windows with VirtualBox then i'll
install windows on mac. otherwise i'll just stick with OSX.
please let me know
thanks

We don't see too many 3D scanners 'round these
parts, so we'll be excited to hit RealView 3D's booth at CES and see what all the fuss is about.
The RealView 360â° 3D Desktop Scanner is being billed as the world's first desktop
scanner capable of capturing objects in their full 360â° topographic glory, suitable for
scanning mugs, model space ships, D&D figurines, and whatever else fits on its base. There are
three models available: RealView 360 3D (the plain ol' VGA scanner), RealView 360 3D HD (for that
hi-def resolution you crave) and RealView 360 HD Commercial (for large format scans and kiosks).
Beyond that, we'll just have to wait for CES 2009 to open its
doors. Soon.
