Details are coming in but it's official. The N97 features a large touchscreen phone with a retail
price at around 550 euros ($693.4) excluding subsidies and taxes, phone to ship in H1 2009. The N97
packs a 3.5-inch, 640 x 360 pixel (that's a 16:9 aspect ratio) touchscreen display and QWERTY into
this sliding communicator with an "always open" window to favorite internet or social networking
sites. Nokia calls it the "world's most advanced mobile computer." To back up the claim they've
dropped in 32GB of onboard memory with microSD expansion and a battery capable of up to 1.5 days of
continuous audio playback. 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss glass and "DVD quality" video
capture, too.

//a/p pFor those who never got the chance to meet Sandy, she served as an anthropomorphic digital
assistant who helped users remember to-dos and appointments. And she was intelligent enough to
interact via email, IM, and Twitter. (Clearly, she took on so many human qualities that many of us
continue to refer to her as "her" instead of "it.")/p pThe open-source project proposes to recreate
Sandy from the ground up, ensuring that users still have access to the functionality that the
original Sandy possessed. They're beginning to consider plans for monetization, as well./p pFor
now, the developers are a
href="http://sandysback.blogspot.com/2008/11/progress-being-made.html"seeking guidance on initial
features and functionality/a:/p blockquote"If you are a fan of Sandy, let us know here or at
mysandy on twitter what features are most important to you, highest priority for us to focus on
implementing first. Note that we won't be able to recreate all of Sandy's full feature-set for a
first release. So it's helpful to know from you what your priorities are. Please keep in mind we'll
need to provide features based on what's available to us open source and free, for now, so that
will be a constraint on what features are in the first release."/blockquote pLike many open-source
projects, this project stems from user frustration over the lack of control they have in the
situation. It will be interesting to see where the community decides to take the project now that
they have more control over Sandy's features. Whatever the case, they're off to a running start.
The team says they currently have a proof of concept prototype up and running. /p pIt's also
interesting to note, that there are already mentions of working with a
href="http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/indentica_federated_twitter.php"identi.ca/a, the
open-source microblogging tool that sprung onto the scene during a similarly difficult time with
Twitter./p pWe'll continue to keep tabs on the open-source Sandy, even without the original Sandy
around to remind us to do so./p stronga

 In a move
that will undoubtedly increase its street cred among technophiles and tinkerers alike, Atheros announced that it's releasing the specs to allow open
source drivers for its ATH5K and ATH9K chip families. The move comes after Atheros first released
some open source drivers for newer 802.11n chipsets and now the company is finally opening up its
HAL (hardware abstraction layer) to developers, even using Linux as the reference public code base.
No word on when any of this stuff will be released, but rest assured, we'll be on the lookout for
more info -- we're sure the hackers out there are champing at the bit.

We’re talking to ourselves all the time inside our minds. Even when you’re not paying
attention, these relentless mental debates deeply influence our feelings and, ultimately, our
behavior. The good news is that each time that you become aware of such mental dialogues and notice
patterns and turn them into productive statements is an opportunity to overcome many unwelcome
feelings and behaviors. Let’s see how this can help us when it comes to procrastination.

Hi all, I have spent may hours pouring over the site and have a few questions that I cannot find
simple answeres:confused:.
I do hope you will forgive me as I have checked iseminar and other links which were fantastic to
read.:)but a little confusing as to which would be easier and simplier to use.
1. which software should I use to jailbreak my 2g iphone with the latest upgrade to the iphone? (I
am a mac user)
2. Can I still use my existing apps on my iphone after?
3. where I can get new apps other than the apps store?
4. can I still purchase apps from the apps store after?
5. will all my contact and notes be available after or will I loose them after the jailbreak?
I suspect that the answer to numbers 3 and 4 is yes but do need to make sure as I have my meds and
sugar levels on an app to keep track of my diabeties which I dont want to loose.
many thanks in advance :)
