'Hard Fought, Found Thought' is the second full length release from The Shy Trafficker, recorded in
Seattle at Attercop studio by Reed Griffin, and follows their 2006 EP 'Halves and Have Knots'. The
Shy Trafficker is an interesting equation to crack; it possesses an elaborate infrastructure of
instrumental indie rock ideals, a jazz-sensibility, and heroic interludes to build thematic songs
within a song. The Shy Trafficker has been described to have a Chicago type sound which builds with
raw materials based on rhythm and complexities coming from only three players. Often the Shy
Trafficker is associated with bands such as Pele, Pell Mell, Tortoise, and Do Make Say Think. A
higher quality CD version of 'Hard Fought, Found Thought' is also available and can be bought from

'Lights Out' is the demo EP release from Final Light aka James Morris and displays a different side
to the From The Sky guitarist, an electronic beats fused with classical post-rock side. Taking
inspiration from the glitchy instrumental bands of the West and experimental electronica coming out
of the East, Final Light mixes ambient piano and synth string sections underneath driving
electronic drums and glitch sounds, showcasing a promising future outside of From The Sky for
James.

'These Stars, Our Flame' is the second release from Josh Elliott and expands upon the epic mix of
electronic post-rock and classical sounds displayed on his debut EP. Upping the dramatic and
progressive flair of the debut, 'These Stars, Our Flame' adds layers of guitars, piano, strings and
glitch noises atop a forceful electronic drum base. There is also a CD version of this release
available for STERLING2.50 directly from Josh, at this link : http://joshelliott.bigcartel.com.

As the year begins to draw itself to a close, we're wondering how it's possible that time has
passed so quickly at The Silent Ballet over the past ten months. It seems like only yesterday when
we were all staring wide-eyed at a brand new year with the biggest hopes for things to come. And
even though the year is wrapping up, there's still much new music to discover and fall in love
with. Volume VI steps back from the post-rock aesthetic and prepares for the impending winter with
a diverse collection of tracks that span many genres. We hope a common relaxed theme pervades
throughout, one which intrigues the listener but also is capable of accompanying it the multitude
of experiences that comprise life's trials and tribulations. The eclectic roster was selected with
precisely this goal in mind.

Users are reporting that the recent changes to Google’s search engine, called
SearchWiki, have simply disappeared from the site. It’s certainly gone from my account.
I was (and remain) highly
critical of SearchWiki, which was announced
two days ago and became the default search interface for anyone who opted into it. The
changes allowed users to move search results up or down on a page (or remove them entirely), add
public comments, and add entirely new results to the page (there is a good overview of all features
here).
User reactions were mixed but weighted heavily towards “this is lame,” and there was
no way to turn off the features other than to conduct Google searches without being logged in.
Another way to turn it off was to switch search engines.
I’ve emailed Google for a comment.

I am a new (soon to be) ipod touch owner. The shop i am gonna buy it from told me that you cant
upload any illegally downloaded music onto it as it will "know" and block it. Before getting itunes
and paying for music (and before it was such a big thing) i downloaded illegally and obviously i
want all my music collection to be on my ipod. So was wondering if anyone knew if this was true or
not.
Thanks

I just got a brand new first generation iphone from apple. I tried using quickpwn to unlock and
jailbreak 2.1. After the process is complete I put my sim card in and the signal bars just stay
flat and eventually it says no signal. Anyone know what might be wrong?

I should preface this post by telling everyone that I am most definitely an amateur photographer.
"Newbie" might be a better term, actually.
So, right now I have a Nikon Coolpix 990 ( Google image search). I love this camera for its ability to rotate into so many
strange viewing angles. I am, however, beginning to reach its technical limits. Not surprising as
the poor thing is approaching 8 years of age.
I thought I was sold on upgrading to a D40 (I like Nikon a lot), but then I came across the Olympus
E330 ( Google image search). I see that it would allow me to achieve many (though not
all) of the angles that my 990 does, and it would allow me to frame a shot with the LCD. I like
this.
So, I have two questions:
1. Has anyone used the E330 and what are your thoughts?
2. Are there any other DSLRs on the market that have the same sort of function in this price range?
(I'm looking at spending about $500, give or take $100-$200). I can't seem to find any others, but
I don't really know what to search for.

trust this, but here's what went down:
ME: if I do purchase a Bold, would I be able to switch the SIM cards if I wanted
to use my iPhone to say, watch a movie or something?
Karen L.: Yes you would be able to add your sim card to the new phone.
ME: and switch back to the iPhone as needed for multimedia purposes?
Karen L.: Yes you can.

Hey guys
I'm REALLY happy with my new Alu macbok. The battery life is great, i get 4 hours on high

My question is, is there anyway to maintain this long lovely battery life? I've heard things about

Hey guys, this is MacRumors afterall, and I personally think speculating is fun. Whether it's
speculating about whose going to win the Superbowl, what trades your favorite baseball team will
look like in the offseason, who would make a good couple, or what Apple's lineup will look like!
:D
Right now I have the flu, so I have nothing better to do, here is what I think the iPod lineup
should look like by fall 2009:
APPLE COMPLETE 2009 iPod Lineup:
I personally think they are going to get rid of the 8GB, and have three iPod Touch models:
iPod Touch: 16 GB - $149, 32 GB w/ camera - $249$, 64 GB w/ camera - $349
Basically the same iPod touch, with a camera built in, louder speakers, better battery life, more
memory, cheaper, better 3D capabilities, and a more refined OS. The 16 GB iPod Touch will NOT have
the camera.
Apple will then drop the iPod Nano, update the Classic but also make it so it can conveniently be
used as an external hard drive for any Mac or PC. This would be perfect for the everyday college
student who needs extra space but doesn't want to carry a hefty external hard drive and iPod with
him, or the everyday business man working in a call center. Apple would of course have to make the
iPod Classic software to make it be used as both an external hard drive and iPod conveniently.
These are what the iPod Classic lineup should look like:
iPod Classic: 160 GB - $199, 320 GB - $299
Apple will also update the iPod Shuffle completely, and make it so that it has an easier interface,
instead of constantly tapping the forward button to skip through a song, the person with the iPod
Shuffle has the shuffle in his pocket, but also a little remote control piece that goes in his
hand. The iPod shufle itself doesn't have any buttons, but the wireless controller does. The
wireless controller if designed right can fit perfectly in one's hand and you control the iPod from
there. This would be 10x more convenient for people running while using a shuffle or working out,
what the shuffle is mainly manufactured for. Addition to this, when you aren't working out or
whatever, you also can connect the wireless controller and iPod Shuffle itself together and use it
like it has been previously. The iPod Shuffle would also come with bluetooth headphone
capability.
iPod Shuffle: 4 GB - $59, 8 GB - $99
iPhone Lineup:
Apple will increase the battery life of the iPhone, a better camera, and the memory of the iPhone.
It will also receive 4G if it is out then, and get a more refined OS along with the touch. Apple
will also make it have even better 3D capabilities, and sign more companies to make games for the
new Touch and iPhone for iTunes. Apple will also make it so that Flash is optional on the iPod
Touch and iPhone. If you want better battery life, Flash would be turned off. This would also make
it so game designers have more options. Apple's game designers will start to develop games that
takes advantage of the iPhone and iPod Touch's better graphics capabilities, therefore some games
will not be able to be played on 2G and 1G Touches and iPhones.
iPhone: 32 GB - $199, 64 GB - $299
