Media Matters for America -

On the December 3 broadcast of The War Room, co-host Rose Tennent read from an
article about Deborah Lawrence, an artist who submitted an ornament for the White House
Christmas tree
celebrating, among other things, Rep. Jim McDermott's (D-WA) support for a resolution to
impeach President Bush. Tennent read a quote from the article in which Lawrence said of the
attention surrounding her ornament: "It took on a life of its own, obviously. In a way, I'm
speechless." Tennent responded: "Good, stay that way. Don't talk," to which co-host Jim Quinn
added, "That's right, don't talk. Shut up, bitch."
According to
The Washington Post, first lady Laura Bush "asked members of Congress to pick local
painters" to decorate ornaments for the White House Christmas tree. McDermott "contacted a local
arts organization, which asked Lawrence, a collage artist, to create the local entry."
Media Matters for America has documented that Quinn previously introduced a
segment on Sen. Hillary Clinton by playing Elton John's "The Bitch is Back." Additionally, on October 7, Quinn asserted that Rep. Nancy
Pelosi, whom he referred to as "the Queen Bee," "hated" Clinton "because she didn't want Hillary
to be the most important woman in Washington," adding, "I'm sorry, but it seems to be the nature
-- I shouldn't say the nature of all women -- but it seems to be a trait that flows through, for
whatever reasons, the gender, if you will." Quinn has also stated that to feminists, even "a childless
feminist who looks like a Bulgarian weightlifter in drag" can be a "real woman," and has
repeatedly referred to the National Organization for Women as "the national organization for whores."
Talkers Magazine lists Quinn & Rose among its "Heavy
Hundred," which it describes as the "100 most important radio talk show hosts in America."
According to the show's website, it airs on 18
radio stations and XM Satellite Radio.
From the December 3 broadcast of Clear Channel's The War Room with Quinn & Rose:
QUINN: She needs something --
TENNENT: She sounds frightening.
QUINN: -- to become gainfully employed somewhere doing something for her fellow man besides this.
TENNENT: Argh. Yup, that's right. So, anyway, so she thought that she was making a very brave
statement -- turns out that the White House has decided that, "You know what, don't think that's
appropriate, we're not gonna hang it on the Christmas tree." So, but you know what? They have a
luncheon -- I didn't know this -- for all of the artists, then -- a Christmas luncheon. Guess
what? She jumped on the plane and flew to D.C. -- D.C. to go to the luncheon.
QUINN: Oh yeah --.
TENNENT: Yeah, she's there.
QUINN: She's there for the free meal.
TENNENT: Can you believe it?
QUINN: She's probably homeless and lives out of a shopping cart.
TENNENT: I just think that's a shame -- that's a shame.
QUINN: Well, you know --
TENNENT: Well, she said -- oh, she said, "An artist doesn't always get this kind of attention."
This is the artist speaking.
QUINN: Yeah, 'cause they're hardly ever that stupid.
TENNENT: Plus, like, you're weird. Like, now I'm starting to think that there's something really
wrong with you. That's the attention you're getting right now, sweetie. She said, "It took on a
life of its own, obviously. In a way, I'm speechless." Good, stay that way. Don't talk.
QUINN: That's right, don't talk. Shut up, bitch.
TENNENT: She said, "It's disappointing that I won't get to see it on the tree." And did you think
you would?
QUINN: Yeah, you know, I'll tell you what. There's -- there's always Photoshop. You know, you
could take a picture of it and --
TENNENT: She's an artist. She can figure all of that out, right?
QUIINN: Sure. Take a picture of the White House tree, put your little ball on it --
TENNENT: Yeah.
QUIINN: -- put it up on the morning of December 25th -- you know, the winter solstice celebration
-- and I'm sure you'll have a great time with it.

Leave it to the folks behind the Grammys (that would be The Recording
Academy) to put things right when it comes to movie music. Sure, they have a bazillion
categories, but, unlike the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (the Oscars), they know a
good musical score when they hear it and don't allow outrageous
reasons to disqualify it.
Specifically, we're talking about The Dark Knight,
whose composers James Newton Howard and Hans Zimmer were
disqualified for consideration because they listed too many people on the cue sheet, and
There Will Be
Blood, whose composer Jonny Greenwood was DQed because the Academy
thought his score was "diluted by the use of tracked themes or other pre-existing music."
Both scores were nominated for a Grammy last night, in the category "Best Score Soundtrack Album
For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media." (Bear in mind that their eligibility
period is different from the Oscars, which is why they're just now getting around to
Blood.) Yay to the Grammy people for getting it right!
The other nominees for best score were John Williams for Indiana Jones and the Crystal
Skull, Ramin Djawada for Iron Man, and Thomas Newman for WALL-E. More cool
Grammy movie nominees include the title song from Walk Hard - The Dewey Cox Story (Judd
Apatow, Marshall Crenshaw, Jake Kasdan, and John C. Reilly), plus American Gangster and
Juno for "Best Compilation Soundtrack Album," alongside August Rush, Mamma
Mia!, and Sweeney Todd - The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
You can check out the complete list at the official Grammy site. Do you
agree that they got it right, at least as far as the movie nominees are concerned? The awards
show airs on February 8, 2009.

aux divers making-of.

one week to attempt to learn what is usually learned over 5-20 years. I either crash and burn
— or survive by the skin of my teeth — in a final test (trial

you’ll get to see some never-before-seen footage of a rare and brutal samurai sport few
non-Japanese have ever attempted./p/blockquote p Like Tim said, this is a pilot that hasn't been

I absolutely love all Wallace and Gromit films, they are easily on par if not above with the
latest CGI creations that Dreamworks, Pixar et al throw at us. What they may lack in terms of
visuals they more than make up in terms of characters, story lines and imagination of their
creators. An Oscar that they won for Curse of the Were-Rabbit is a testament to that. WPi, which
normally release stuff that airs in Australia, capped this nice PDTV version that’s due to
air at Christmas in the UK, don’t miss it…
Amid the chaos of opening a new bread-making business, Wallace falls in love with a local beauty,
while Gromit becomes a sleuth to solve the mysterious disappearance of a dozen local bakers.

Media Matters for America -
1 days and 22 hours ago
On the December 2 broadcast of The War Room with Quinn & Rose, co-host Jim
Quinn addressed a Media Matters for America item documenting his suggestion during
the previous day's broadcast that "we" should respond to the recent terrorist attacks in
Mumbai, India, with military action even if "a lot of peaceful Muslims" are harmed or killed, as
well as his corresponding remark that "there was a lot of Germans that weren't Nazis either, but
we still bombed
Dresden." Quinn said of his December 1 comments: "Now, of course, again we come back to,
'Yes, but there's a lot of peaceful Muslims on the planet Earth.' Well, that's true. But if I'm
in a room with a thousand people, and 999 of them love me, but one has a gun and wants to kill
me, how relevant are the 999? They have no relevance whatever. I'm sorry, but peaceful Muslims
will only be relevant insofar as they rise up against those who are not peaceful, because this is
a pox on their house, and they need to cure it themselves."
Later in the December 2 broadcast, Quinn specifically addressed his prior reference to the
bombing of Dresden during World War II:
I mean, look at World War II, when I talked about the bombing of Dresden. One of the ways that
wars are fought -- and nobody wants to talk about it, but it's the truth -- is you cause so much
death and destruction to the civilian population of that nation that eventually the population of
the nation loses its zest for the war, and the political support of those waging that war
collapses. That's how you win wars. Ugly, isn't it? Sorry. What do you think Hiroshima
was about? Hmm? The bottom line is reality does not always afford you a truth to your liking,
Media Matters.
Quinn further discussed his October 29 assertion -- also documented by Media
Matters -- that "[t]here's only one way to settle the Palestine -- the Palestine
issue," and that "is to level it and then salt the earth so that nothing grows for a thousand
years, because that's how the Muslims would have treated each other, and did.' " Quinn said of
that comment, "Sorry, that's the truth. That is the historical truth, and -- and that's exactly
what they would do to us if the technology shoe was on the other foot." Quinn went on to assert,
"[T]here have been few religions in the world as deadly to man as that of Mohammad."
Talkers Magazine lists Quinn & Rose among its "Heavy
Hundred," which it describes as the "100 most important radio talk show hosts in America."
According to the show's website, it airs on 18
radio stations and XM Satellite Radio.
From the December 2 broadcast of Clear Channel's The War Room with Quinn & Rose:
QUINN: But the reason why Media Matters matters is -- is because they're different from
the other blogs. Media Matters for America has a conflict of interest, and the conflict
of interest is who funds them, and who runs them. Media Matters -- well, here, I'll give
you an example. Now, this is the latest one, Media Matters for America:
On December 1 broadcast of The War Room with Quinn & Rose, while reading from a blog
post by London Spectator columnist Melanie Phillips that discussed the recent terror
attacks in Mumbai, India, co-host Jim Quinn said, quote: "We either wipe this scourge from the
face of the Earth -- 'Well, you can't say that, because there's a lot of peaceful Muslims out
there.' Well, there was a lot of peaceful Germans that weren't Nazis either, but we bombed
Dresden. We either wipe this scourge from the face of the Earth, or we will be doomed to live
under it." Quinn continued, saying, "We have the technology. Do we have the spine? Don't answer
that if you have trouble sleeping, OK?"
Well, what's interesting to me, of course, is that none of you guys on the left get upset when
Muslims say the exact same thing about their desire for Western civilization. I mean, go through
the -- go through the Holy Land Foundation trial, and take a look at some of the transcripts from
that, and what their intentions are. Their intentions are to do it both peacefully and
militarily, and if they can't get it done peacefully, then militarily, but whatever it takes, a
global Islamic caliphate is on the way.
Now, of course, again we come back to, "Yes, but there's a lot of peaceful Muslims on the planet
Earth." Well, that's true. But if I'm in a room with a thousand people, and 999 of them love me,
but one has a gun and wants to kill me, how relevant are the 999? They have no relevance
whatever. I'm sorry, but peaceful Muslims will only be relevant insofar as they rise up against
those who are not peaceful, because this is a pox on their house, and they need to cure it
themselves. Because certainly there's -- there's no Islamic supremacist -- which is my word for
"Islamic terrorist" -- there's no Islamic supremacist that's gonna be convinced by my -- by any
of my arguments.
But it's interesting here just to watch Media Matters and how they -- you know, it's --
and they go on to say, "As Media Matters for America documented." Woo, they documented.
You know, all you guys have to do is buy a subscription to our webpage for $39.95 a month -- I'm
sure that George Soros can spring for that -- and you could just -- you could just download --
download the podcast for Heaven's sakes. It's like they've got a spy on the ground some place.
"As Media Matters for America documented, Quinn said on October 29, 'There's only one
way to settle the Palestine -- the Palestine issue,' and that is to quote, 'level it and then
salt the earth so that nothing grows for a thousand years, because that's how the Muslims would
have treated each other, and did.' " Unquote. Sorry, that's the truth. That is the historical
truth, and -- and that's exactly what they would do to us if the technology shoe was on the other
foot. You don't think for a minute that Muslim supremacists with a nuclear weapon wouldn't use
it? I mean, are you that foolish?
[...]
And as far as my feelings about supremacist Islam -- hey, guys, I said it before, and I'll say it
again: I studied the Quran a great deal, mainly because of our position vis-à-vis the
Muslim populations throughout the Middle East. And I must tell you that I came away from the
study with the conviction that, by and large, there have been few religions in the world as
deadly to man as that of Mohammad.
[...]
Now, we've got all these smart bombs, OK. We've got these special -- we've got -- what -- we've
got that thing now -- what is it -- what is it target -- I forget exactly what it is --
technology. You can slip something that's smaller than a dime into some terrorist's robe
somewhere, and -- and the rocket will hit him right in the middle of a crowd. You know, I mean,
it'll take him right out. And, you know, look, we can park a smart bomb in somebody's window, and
that's good when you're dealing with something like terrorism, which is an organization rather
than a nation-state. It's also good, I mean -- if you're going up against a nation-state, it's
only good if you park one in Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's bathroom while he's sitting in there taking a
dump, but other than that, folks, the way --you have to understand, the ways that wars are
fought.
Sorry. What do you think Hiroshima was about?
Hmm? The bottom line is reality does not always afford you a truth to your liking, Media
Matters. Reality does not always afford you a truth to your liking. Accept reality or
perish.

là !/p pimg title=logo_slime_volley.png, nov 2008 style=margin: 0 auto; display: block; alt=
src=http://www.generation-linux.fr/public/dec08/logo_slime_volley.png //p br /pstrongI.
Je me suis notamment
pouvoir jouer contre l'ordi.
Test/strong/p pTout d'abord, voici l'écran d'accueil :/p pa
href=http://www.generation-linux.fr/public/dec08/slime_accueil.pngimg title=slime_accueil.png, nov
2008 style=margin: 0 auto; display: block; alt=
ulliJouer/li /ul a href=http://www.generation-linux.fr/public/dec08/slime_lancer_partie.pngimg
title=slime_lancer_partie.png, nov 2008 style=margin: 0 auto; display: block; alt=
src=http://www.generation-linux.fr/public/dec08/.slime_lancer_partie_s.jpg //abr /C'est ici que
src=/themes/default/smilies/smile.png alt=:) class=smiley / (quelle belle phrase inutile !)br /br
/ulliConnexion distante/li /ul a
href=http://www.generation-linux.fr/public/dec08/slime_client_reso.pngimg
title=slime_client_reso.png, nov 2008 style=margin: 0 auto; display: block; alt=
src=http://www.generation-linux.fr/public/dec08/.slime_client_reso_s.jpg //abr /Il vous permettra
href=http://www.generation-linux.fr/public/dec08/slime_options.pngimg title=slime_options.png, nov
2008 style=margin: 0 auto; display: block; alt=
src=http://www.generation-linux.fr/public/dec08/.slime_options_s.jpg //abr /Là
src=/themes/default/smilies/smile.png alt=:) class=smiley /br /br /ulliCrédit/li
alt=:) class=smiley /br /br /strongTest du gameplay/strongbr /br /Personnellement, je trouve ce jeu
href=http://slime.tuxfamily.org/viewproject.php?p=1page dédiée du site officiel./abr
/br / a href=http://www.generation-linux.fr/public/dec08/slime_2ia.pngimg title=slime_2ia.png, nov
2008 style=margin: 0 auto; display: block; alt=
src=http://www.generation-linux.fr/public/dec08/.slime_2ia_s.jpg //abr /pstrongVI.
src=/themes/default/smilies/smile.png alt=:) class=smiley //p
