Hey guys, new to this forum and a n00b to this whole os x86 thing, pretty sweet though.I have made
several VMs to work with Vista 32-bit as my host. I wanted to do a dual boot with Vista and iDeneb
v1.3 10.5.5. I already have vista installed and running great, no problem there. I can get iDeneb
to boot-up from the DVD and install. The issue comes after the install. when it goes to boot up for
the first time after the install, it just goes to a grey-ish screen. The apple logo comes up and it
is thinking (I can tell by the little "clock" thing under the logo ticking around and around) but
after a few moments the screen will go grey-ish and then stay like that....FOR HOURS!! I have tried
a several different configs but it happens with every one. I have looked around in different forums
and on the net but to no avail. So what do you think it is? Here are my specs: AMD Phenom 9950
oc'ed 3.2Ghz4 Gigs of 1066 ram2 ATI 3870's1 500 Gig Seagate SATA drive1 250 Gig WD SATA driveAsus
M3A79-T Deluxe motherboardI hade to change some settings in the BIOS for the DVD to boot iDeneb, I
had to change my SATA from IDE to AHCI and also disable my eSata port and a couple other
things. Some help would be greatly appreciated!!!Oh, and sorry about the length of this first post.
It is after all my very first post/thread in a forum....EVER. What did I say....n00b...hahahaha :D

ok guys i'm about to erase xp on my double boot pc (xp & vista) and going to install
ubuntu.
My question is if there is going to happen anything bad if i uninstall it like when you uninstall
ubuntu the bios tells you that it needs some kind of file and then you cannot pass from the
bios..... so is that (or something similar) going to happen?

Hi All,
I have an installation error. Everything works fine, DVD boots well and everything is going
according to plan. Until I get an error message when I am around 80% into the installation
process.
I get this error message.
"The installer could not verify the contents of the "mediafiles" package"
I am then given the option to restart and try again which I do with no luck. I have tried
everything from changing things in the BIOS to trying different kernels.
Any Ideas?
Thanks

Hi, I just got my system up with the leopard. Here are the specs
Intel DQ965GF
Geforce 7600
2 gigs RAM
160Gig SATA system
all the program seems to work fine except when I tried to install final cut pro. The program is
complaining about a quartz extreme graphics card. I'm not sure if the on-board video card from the
intel mobo is giving me problems. I turned it off from the bios and OS X is reporting the Geforce
card as present. I also tried a Premiere pro app and it did not install also. Premiere is saying I
have 0 VRAM but the Gforce card has 512 VRAM. Does anyone have any success installing Final Cut.
Can you be so kind enough to post your configuration. Thanks

Hello everyone. I recently got Kalyway 10.5.2 to work on one of my Pavilion single core AMD
machines (with working internet, graphics card, sound... the whole works). Now I am trying my dual
core Intel Pavilion and it will not cooperate. I thought Intel was supposed to be easier. :fail
-:MY SPECS:-
Model: Hp Pavilion a6620f
CPU: Intel Pentium Dual Core 2.5 GHz - E5200
RAM: 4GB
MoBo: ASUS IPIBL-LB
Chipset: Intel G33
More Info
I tried here and here for guidance but I still have not had any luck.
I have updated the BIOS and tried to set it up according to the guides above and I haven't had
luck. One interesting note... I set my SATA Controller Mode to AHCI... but when I boot back up it
is in RAID again. Should it be resetting itself or is this one of my problems?
I've tried both Kalyway 10.5.2 and iDeneb 10.5.5.
Kalyway boots and immediately gives me the No Go  screen:
iDeneb will actually go through the paces of installing and then I get the No Go  screen after
restart.
Am I missing something big? I noticed that neither of the guides I used have info on picking a
chipset. I tried the ICHx driver just in case but that didn't work either. I think all of the
others(AppleNForceATA, AppleNForceATA Test, MCP67, ICHx Fixed, JMicronATA, SAS, SiliconImage,
VIA-SB)are just chipsets from other manufacturers, right? Do I need to find one with G33 chipset
support?
I have tried so many things that I can't remember if I have already tried, but would the SSE3 Intel
Kernel have a better chance of working than the Vanilla Kernel that the guides suggest?
I am going to try Jas 10.5.4 shortly and I will update if that does any better.
Anyone have any ideas at all? Anyone have success with a similar setup? Thanks in advance for any
help you may be able to give.
