Im looking to play games on the bootcamp machine so im not sure which OS is better for gaming right
now on my 2006 iMAC 4 gigs of ram with the ATI 2600 256 Video card.
The question is XP uses less ram but can see less ram. Vista can see I believe 512mb more of ram
3.5 but its os uses more resources as well. so is that a moot point?
I'm playing Warhammer Online and a few other RPG type games. Which would be better for framerates
and graphics!?
Someone said Vista 64 would be best as it will see all the ram, but from everything Ive read vista
64 wont run on this iMAC (32bit will) as Apple decided not to support it for the older ATI macs..
If anyone knows this to be untrue and knows a way to do it please let me know. I would prefer vista
64 but I can not find the drivers for this imac in bootcamp at all.
Thanks in advance..

is there anyway to get and use bootcamp on these hacked leopard thingys (kalyway, leo4all iATKOS)?
it would make the dual booting way simpler.

Simple question, which do you prefer and why? Is it better than Bootcamp? Does Bootcamp have some
advantages over it?
If I'm in one of the two (VM or Parallels) and put in a disk, will I be able to use it in Windows?
I can't think of any CDs I'd need for school that wouldn't work on a Mac, there can't be many,
right?

Iv tried using Toast to encode and burn a DVD from a .avi file
I am not happy with the result
Using Convert X To DVD and Nero produced much better DVD's
Can I use bootcamp with these 2 programs with no problems?
Also if anyone can recommend me a better DVD Encode/Burn app for MAC I would appreciate it
I tried Burn and it produced unsynched audio

I want to purchase Vista Home Premium OEM and VMware fusion 2. If I use the vista dvd to make a
bootcamp partition will VMware fusion see this partition and will the partition work as I have
heard vista home premium doesnt work in virtualization software. Is this a lisencing issue or a
software problem or does this problem even exist? Please tell me if any of you have got this
working with vista home premium as I need to but Vista in the next couple of days in time for my
imac to arrive.
Many Thanks in advance, Jack.

I have just used Bootcamp to install Windows XP on my girlfriends new Macbook. It worked quite well
but there seems to be one small problem.
When the computer has been booted into Windows, then the next time OS X is started the "Tap to
click" function is disabled. When I go into system settings to enable it, I see that the check-box
next to "Tap to Click" is checked. So to make it work I have to remove the check-mark and the click
it again - then it is enabled again.
How can Windows cause this? It has me a little worried that it can have such an effect. To my
knowledge the two systems should be COMPLETELY isolated from each other so the only answer must be
that Windows actually changes some setting inside the trackpad that is remembered during boot. That
is, a setting in the actual firmware or something?
Anyone know if this is right and if something can be done to fix it?
