Flash Video (.FLV extension) is the format used to display video in Flash content. Most Flash Video content is viewed online (on sites such as YouTube), but in order to view .FLV content locally, you need a splitter installed. You will also need an FLV decoder installed. FFDShow can be enabled to play this format. You simply need to instruct it to decode FLV1 content on the codec section of its configuration page.

Tried to watch bleach today, only to have no video show up, and every program fail to close only to have Windows shut it down for Not Responding.

The only thing I've changed on my PC this week was adding Itunes after getting an Iphone. I reset all my codec settings in CCC and restarted, no luck tho.

Anybody heard of anything like this, and any way to fix it w/o reinstalling every playback program.

I had to install VLC to get any playback at all, even quiktime isn't working.

If you’re a MySpace Mobile user, you can now view videos on the go on the MySpace Mobile Site, located at m.myspace.com. Just log into your MySpace profile and scroll down to “My Videos”.

MySpace has launched this feature using RipCode’s On-Demand Video Transcoding technology, which means that the videos will be transcoded in real time to whatever your handset supports, regardless of the codec, resolution or bit rate required. They claim they’re the first “social portal to launch video streaming for mobile,” however I don’t see any crucial difference between this and what YouTube is offering at its mobile site.

As far as future plans go, vice president and general manager of Mobile for MySpace John Faith says “MySpace will continue to grow our video library as we increase delivery channels in order to keep pace with our users’ accelerating desire for video consumption.”
