Which Linux distro do you think is better?
Ubuntu 8.04 or Fedora 9
These are both gnome based distros, but I keep having random freezes in Ubuntu Hardy, never tried
Fedora but heard good things!

L’association GULL 02, le Groupe
d’Utilisateurs GNU/Linux de l’Aisne, organise le samedi 6 septembre une Install-Party. De 15h à 18h, venez vous
faire installer GNU/Linux, essayer diverses distributions (Fedora, Ubuntu, Mandriva,
etc… ) et rencontrer d’autres Linuxiens.
L'install-party aura lieu au magasin Ekobox, 19 rue du Général Leclerc à
Chauny (02300).

Lille : Logiciels Libres à la braderie de Lille Date et lieu

Description
La Braderie de Lille est l'une des plus grandes braderies: elle attire chaque année entre
2 et 3 millions de visiteurs. Elle se déroulera cette année le week-end du 6 et du
7 septembre.
Cette année l'association Chtinux, après avoir
tenu un "simple stand " en 2006 et 2007, organise un village du logiciel Libre.
Plusieurs associations se partageront plusieurs stands, avec restauration et animation, sur la
place de l'ancien marché aux chevaux dans le centre ville de Lille.
Parmi les association présentes, on retrouve l'ensemble de GULL Régionaux (Chtinux, Linux62, CLX, Linux Cambrésis,
etc.), la SSLL locale Cliss XXI, mais aussi :
Ce sera l'occasion de toucher un large public qui peut prendre le temps de se renseigner sur les
logiciels libres.

reinstalling existing Linux machines. The last two modes require a helper tool called 'koan' that
integrates with cobbler. Advanced features include importing distributions from DVDs and rsync
mirrors, kickstart templating, integrated yum mirroring, and built-in DHCP/DNS Management. Cobbler
has a Python and XML-RPC API for integration with other applications. It supports RHEL 4+, Fedora,
and derivative distributions, and is also able to install other popular distributions.
License: GNU General Public License v2 Changes:
This release fixes some minor issues involving DHCP/DNS management settings and checkbox loading in
the UI.
