br /What it doesbr /br /If for any reason you are unsatisfied with either Yahoo or Google groups
and are on the lookout for a viable alternative, chances are a visit to this newly-launched service
will sort you out. br brIn principle, GroupALoop is a free service that is open to anybody, and
which has some features that intend to give it an edge over its close competitors. One of the most
notable features is the ability to create unlimited groups within any given group. It can be
claimed that this can actually clutter proceedings if not used sparingly, but it is always better
to have the chance to do something different than being constricted to tried and tested formulas.
Moreover, widgets are featured as a way of attracting further members and showing your allegiance
on the sites you visit frequently. br brOther features that merit mentioning include a
“Lurking” option that effectively enables you to keep the group in your group list
without appearing as an actual member, and the ability to add keywords to the group’s
description itself. br brTo sum it up, this is a viable alternative to related services which is
already acquiring an interesting shape. See it in action for yourself at www.groupaloop.com and
draw your own conclusions. brbr /br /In their own wordsbr /br /“GroupALoop mirrors the same
kind of fluid group interaction that takes place in real life.”br /br /Why it might be a
killerbr /br /It is an endeavor that injects some life into a established formula.br /br /Some
questionsbr /br /What features are going to be added in the foreseeable future? br /br /Link: a

br /What it doesbr /br /A visit to this resource will certainly not go amiss for crafters of every
denomination. Broadly speaking, Craft Juice can be defined as a social site where said individuals
can submit their creations for other members of the online community to comment upon and rate. br
brIn this sense, the site could be compared to a sort of launching pad where talent comes to the
fore and has a chance of being spotted right away. br brOnce uploaded, crafts themselves can be
sorted in a plethora of ways. For instance, it is possible to see the ones that were submitted
within a specific timeframe, as well as the ones that are attracting the most attention among site
users and see what the fuss is all about. br brThe site also holds competitions as a way of
fostering user interaction and spicing up interest. For instance, the most recent competition is a
Xmas one, in keeping with the festive season. You can read about it in the section under the
corresponding heading. brbr /br /In their own wordsbr /br /“Craft Juice is a social network
site that allows craft people to add and vote on the world of crafts.”br /br /Why it might be
a killerbr /br /It provides a superb outlet for talent everywhere.br /br /Some questionsbr /br /Is
there an option for visualizing the most popular crafts that were ever submitted to the site?br /br

The world will see the second Android phone in late January 2009 and Australians will enjoy its use
on their carriers as Kogan today started
pre-orders for the Kogan Agora Pro. For $399 Australian Bucks (US$256) you’ll get the
unlocked phone for use on any Australian Carrier and a toned down (not even a camera) Kogan Agora
is going for $299 Australian dollars (US$192).

That’s a heck of a price for an unlocked piece of Android, but considering the Kogan brand is
relatively unknown it’s a price point that will better lure in more curious mobilists. Those
that make the leap of faith can expect some of the following specs:
- 3G Network
- 2.5-inch LCD Touch Screen
- 2MP Camera
- QWERTY Keypad with back lighting
- WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS
- 624MHz processor
- 256MB memory, 128MB Flash, MicroSD expansion
For $100 cheaper you give up the camera, WiFI and GPS. If you’re going to be an Android
early adopter, chances are these are things you’ll want these things so dump out your piggy
bank and ante up the extra hundy.
The company promised a $199 Android Phone by the end of 2008 - the phone is technically for
sale in this calendar year but the price bump was needed due to the “the impact of the global
financial crisis on currencies”. We forgive them… and we thank them for coming as close
to making good on their promise as possible. The question is… will the phone deliver?
 I’m sure half the people reading this are
thinking, “Who the heck is Kogan?” Good question… I was thinking the same thing.
The company is of an interesting breed - listen to how they define themselves:Kogan is a new business
philosophy that places customers at the top of the food chain. We eliminate all the “middle
men” and pass the savings directly to you. We are a manufacturer, importer, wholesaler, and
retailer all in one. By cutting out all the “middle men”, we provide the best possible
products at the best possible price.
This is the kind of ingenuity that Android can encourage and to be honest, I’m wondering why
companies all over the globe aren’t flocking to follow suit. Android is the ultimate
equalizer. So how come Kogan was able to put out this Android Handset while companies like Motorola have 500 people working on it and will be empty handed until late next
year?
It could be a number of reason starting with the possibility that the phone absolutely sucks.
We’ll know the scoop on that in a couple months time, but seriously… it makes you
wonder why there aren’t a flurry of Android handsets out by now, doesn’t it?
Kogan could use Android to capitalize in a big, big way and the door is wide open for other
(relatively) small companies to do the same and compete with the “big dogs” on a global
scale. Android is knocking down the barriers of entry for manufacturers which encourages a market
where good ideas can out above the battle of the big budgets.
It should be pointed out that this will be the first mobile phone Kogan has ever released with the
manufacturing being outsourced to China. For whatever that’s worth.

A few questions worthy of discussion:
- Hey Australians, what is your experience with Kogan and what do you expect from the Kogan
Agora Pro?
- Hey Australians, will you pre-order the Agora, wait for reviews and then decide or simply not
consider it?
- Hey Ruslan Kogan, founder of Kogan, hook us up with a review copy that we can either rock on
WiFi in the states or give a trusted Australian phandroid an early peek, will ya?
- Hey everyone else, I didn’t want to leave you out so I made a 4th bullet, feel better?
INTERESTING FACT: We dug this up and didn’t find it elsewhere but the
name Agora not only sounds cool but was chose for an obvious reason - it is defined as,
“The public open space that formed the heart of ancient Greek cities and it’s the
origin of most western conceptions of public, or civic, space as center of for social interaction
for ceremony and democratic life on a pedestrian scale.”

Motivation: Bacterial small ribonucleic acids (sRNAs) that are not ribosomal and
transfer or messenger RNAs were initially identified in the sixties, whereas their molecular
functions are still under active investigation today. It is now widely accepted that most play
central roles in gene expression regulation in response to environmental changes. Interestingly,
some are also implicated in bacterial virulence. Functional studies revealed that a large subset
of these sRNAs act by an antisense mechanism thanks to pairing interactions with dedicated mRNA
targets, usually around their translation start sites, to modulate gene expression at the
posttranscriptional level. Some sRNAs modulate protein activity or mimic the structure of other
macromolecules. In the last few years, in silico methods have been developed to detect
more bacterial sRNAs. Among these, computational analyses of the bacterial genomes by comparative
genomics have predicted the existence of a plethora of sRNAs, some that were confirmed to be
expressed in vivo. The prediction accuracy of these computational tools is highly
variable and can be perfectible. Here we review the computational studies that have contributed
to detecting the sRNA gene and mRNA targets in bacteria and the methods for their experimental
testing. In addition, the remaining challenges are discussed.

The modular biology is supposed to be a bridge from the molecular to the systems biology. Using a
new approach, it is shown here that the protein interaction networks of yeast Saccharomyces
cerevisiae and bacteria Escherichia coli consist of two large-scale modularity
layers, central and peripheral, separated by a zone of depressed modularity. This finding based
on the analysis of network topology is further supported by the discovery that there are many
more Gene Ontology categories (terms) and KEGG biochemical pathways that are overrepresented in
the central and peripheral layers than in the intermediate zone. The categories of the central
layer are mostly related to nuclear information processing, regulation and cell cycle, whereas
the peripheral layer is dealing with various metabolic and energetic processes, transport and
cell communication. A similar center-periphery polarization of modularity is found in the protein
domain networks (‘built-in interactome’) and in a powergrid (as a non-biological
example). These data suggest a ‘polarized modularity’ model of cellular networks
where the central layer seems to be regulatory and to use information storage of the nucleus,
whereas the peripheral layer seems devoted to more specialized tasks and environmental
interactions, with a complex ‘bus’ between the layers.

Motivation: During the last few years, several new small regulatory RNAs (sRNAs)
have been discovered in bacteria. Most of them act as post-transcriptional regulators by base
pairing to a target mRNA, causing translational repression or activation, or mRNA degradation.
Numerous sRNAs have already been identified, but the number of experimentally verified targets is
considerably lower. Consequently, computational target prediction is in great demand. Many
existing target prediction programs neglect the accessibility of target sites and the existence
of a seed, while other approaches are either specialized to certain types of RNAs or too slow for
genome-wide searches.
Results: We introduce INTARNA, a new general and fast approach to the prediction
of RNA–RNA interactions incorporating accessibility of target sites as well as the
existence of a user-definable seed. We successfully applied INTARNA to the prediction of
bacterial sRNA targets and determined the exact locations of the interactions with a higher
accuracy than competing programs.

According to a report by Brand Republic, Red Bull will have its own island within Home, and feature
a racing game based on the real-world Red Bull Air Race.
"The game gave us the first opportunity to recreate in the gaming world what we try to do in the
real world, which is to facilitate interaction, to give people stories, memories, experiences and a
really good opportunity to interact with the brand," offered Red Bull's John Beasley, marketing
manager for the company.
"It's an easy environment for brands to take that first step into gaming," added Beasley. Home is
expected to be open to the public by the end of the year, although thousands of PlayStation 3 users
already have access to the service's beta test.

- Look sobre Itunes-like
remote control, playlists Deezer…)
d’initiatives…

iBreast Cancer Research, Vol. 9 (05 December 2007), 114./ibr /br /With the characterization of the
human genome, as well as advances in technology to determine genetic variability across the genomes
of populations, there has been focused effort on the identification of cancer susceptibility
alleles through the use of genome-wide association studies. These efforts have recently resulted in
identification of a susceptibility locus for breast cancer by several groups, although the
increases in risk are modest. While genome-wide association studies will probably lead to
discoveries of potentially important previously unstudied pathways in cancer etiology, the role of
the environment, particularly gene-environment interactions, in breast cancer etiology should not
be overlooked.br /iChristine Ambrosone/i

Photoshop
CS4 :
- Prise en charge avancée de MXML ;
l’animer et le déformer (avec des os et des articulations) ;
les sujets principaux ;
- Possibilité d’interpréter du code C ou C++ dans Flash avec AS3 ;
- Prise en charge de nouveaux formats comme RAW et PDF dans Flash ;

textuelles, Client/Serveur, Web) ;
collaboration et de la synchronisation, API & mashup, data-on-the-cloud…) ;
iHotelier existe depuis 2001) ;
déconnecté, des conflits lors de l’édition simultanée) ;
(interface homme-service) ;

capitaliser ;
catalogue de composants graphiques de Flex ;
prototype ;
être utilisés dans différentes pages / états ;
exotiques ;
le comportement des modules ;

Flash player en mode P2P ;
-
multi-supports ;
-
équipes de production vidéo et le commanditaire ;
-
et même superposées (le rêve des intégrateurs HTML) ;
-
transcription de la bande son (très impressionnant) ;
-
y ressemble ;
-
widgets web dans Dreamweaver ;
-
