Apple today released Pro Apps Update 2008-004 for users of Final Cut and Logic application packages. The update includes Final Cut Pro 6.0.5, Compressor 3.0.5, Color 1.0.3, and Shake 4.1.1. While Apple's download page simply mentions that the update "addresses general performance issues and improves overall stability," further details on the changes included in these updates can be found in the accompanying release notes. The update weighs in at 149 MB and requires OS X 10.4.11 or 10.5.5.

pThe overall panic that has taken hold of the financial markets made its way to online advertising yesterday with the release of the Interactive Advertising Bureau's third-quarter online ad figures: online advertising up only 2% quarter-to-quarter and 11% year-over-year. But before you scramble to lower all of your estimates once again, keep in mind that the third quarter and October are likely to have been skewed heavily by the elections. While I wouldn't suggest that online behaves completely like TV, it is a long-known fact that political advertising crowds out other advertisers and tends to put pressure on pricing.nbsp; br / br / The general news and political sites have enjoyed a run-up in traffic (with questions as to its sustainability post election) that created enormous ad inventory. Economic theory will tell you that an increase in supply (i.e. ad inventory) coupled with unchanged, or even lessened demand (i.e. advertisers) can only be cleared by lower pricing. While I'm not feeling particularly optimistic about anything right now, I would caution the market to hold back on drawing any conclusions about online ad pricing or ad trends until we get past the election season. The new deal with IDG is for all CPM-based online advertising across GOM's network of seven sites, and the company will still sell events and online sponsorships directly on its own. /p p While this is not a significant monetary setback for Federated, it does point to what the John Battelle-founded online-ad company is giving up as it continues to scale: Its focus has been on large-scale national advertisers and creating both general and custom programs with them, as opposed to the more 'intimate" sells required for enterprise-focused vendors that GOM attracts. I had the MacBook Pro logic board replaced last weekend and I got it back with the keyboard backlight not working. I brought it back to the Apple Genius and they took it in, called me three hours later with it fixed. The forms they gave me didn't say they replaced anything and the store employee didn't tell what went wrong.

The backlight isn't working again. I didn't notice until just now when I reinstalled Leopard.

I've double checked the settings, used that third party app that controls the keyboard backlight, gone in a dark room, resetting the SMC and PRAM. The screen dims though.

Does anyone have any ideas? Should I be worried that there is a greater issue? An option I no longer have is to bring it back to the Genius. I've tried searching but to no avail.

Here is the video from the Unbelievable Radio program with Justin Brierley on the Premier Radio Network in the UK (http://www.premier.org.uk/unbelievable). Abdullah al-Andalusi (Abdullah from London, as I referred to him before, or, Mujtahid2006, by his YouTube moniker) and I did the program, Justin Brierley hosted. You can see my little video camera down in the bottom of the screen to the left, but this is a better view since Yahya Seymour had a better angle. Well, sort of a better angle. The lights cast a shadow across my eyes, making me look wonderfully evil. Or wonderfully tired. Or both. In any case, my video cut Abdullah in half, and the audio did not sync up with the video, so I'm grabbing Abdullah's video and putting the Unbelievable URL across it. So here you go, the radio discussion from London from Thursday, 11/13/08.

Now, I was looking at some of the comments left by Muslims on this video on Abdullah's version. These are so bad, so...incoherent, they really speak for themselves. Someone named mustafagtgt wrote some doozies:

Did you guys notice how Mr. White tried to avoid the entire dilemma of the Trinity by attacking Islam and the Quran? James White and other Christian apologetics are hypocrites. David (the guy who wears glasses) is another example.
James white has a big ego because after these debates he always makes his own little rebbutle videos and then posts them on Youtube.Then we have this insight from tolerancelastic:
notice how James White keeps throwing in words such as "essence", "nature", "person" etc. this is a clever strategy. he thinks his point is proved just because he phrases his statements using certain words. but when you examine carefully, it just doesn't stand to logic.

i mean, James White says that Jesus was fully God and fully man. and he expects us to believe in that nonsense! lol well, i say James White is fully human and fully monkey.And finally, this classic from stingray2525:
