strongGameEx/strong est une interface graphique basée sur DirectX. Elle se greffe sur les émulateurs MAME, ZiNc, Daphne, sur les jeux PC, et tous les autres émulateurs en ligne de commande. This really doesn't fit in the PC gaming or the Console gaming message board. It's more my opinion on growing up and how it changes what you're into.

When I was a kid I had an Atari 2600, then an Atari 800, then a NES, then a SNES, and eventually a Playstation, a Dreamcast, and then PC.

I used to really ike games. Especially in the SNES and before days. That's not to say I didn't like my PSX with Twisted Metal 2, Castlevania: SotN, and FF VII or my DC with Sonic Adventure or Jet Grind Radio (or even Shenmue). It's just seems that as I've grown up games seem less and less "fun." Sure I can sit down and play them, but games that are long and involved (like RPGs), I just can't get myself into anymore.

I guess it's a factor of having less time to game, more real world responsibilities, and a bigger focus on getting another degree + work, but I feel that it's kinda sad because there really seems to be a lot of good games out there. These days, I maybe play through 3-4 PC games a year. Sure I'm going to get GTA IV, but even more recent great games like Fallout 3, C&C: RA3 (even when I've played the hell out of each and every other C&C game), and even Bioshock I can't bring myself to play through.

However, thanks to my new and faster system, I fired up the arcade version of San Fransisco Rush in MAME and damn is that fun. Sure it's quick and it's mindless, but it gives me hope that I can enjoy games beyond my most recent lineup which includes Microsoft Solitaire and TI-83 zTetris. Damnit... i just wish more games gave me that feeling...

and I still need to play through FF III (VI) and Secret of Mana on the SNES, FF IX on the PSX, and too many PC games to count so I don't feel like I'm missing out.... Maybe I can bank on winning the lottery so I can have enough free time to do all that ;)
