br/pA Motorola concept phone has appeared online, and while the green-and-white color scheme of the
phone looks quite interesting, we seriously doubt that we’ll be seeing this phone at retail
stores anytime soon. It’s cute in its own weird way, and we wouldn’t mind taking the
time to play with one, but it’s hard to imagine a fashion junkie or even a tech-savvy user
picking such a phone up. Typing a text message on such a phone might be a little tricky though, as
there is no keypad in sight, guess that means that the phone has some sort of touch-screen?/p

this concept Motorola handset is what the company needs to reverse its fortunes? We don't think so,
especially when you take a look at its kiddy-like form factor. Well, one thing that cannot be
faulted - this ought to be the cutest handset to be released (if it ever makes it to the production
line, of course), although Hello Kitty fans might beg to differ. From the images, you can tell that
this handset can be "pulled" downwards to reveal its navigation keys, although we're not too sure
where composing text messages and emails come in since there is no alphanumeric keyboard in sight.

//centerbr / pNokia joins Sony Ericsson and Motorola by canceling a handset of their own, and this
latest botched project is no big loss to the world since it looks as though a drunk Spiderman left
his web-marking on the underside of the handset. This angular design won't sit down well with many
people - just take a look at the number of Prism handsets Nokia has moved and you'll know what I
mean. This mystery device will probably reside in the mid-range of things if it was ever rolled out
of production lines, and will likely carry a 5 megapixel Carl Zeiss lens behind. Well, no big loss
methinks. What about you?/p pPermalink: a

405 words
28 November 2008
Wireless News
English

The iPhone is now the No. 1 device worldwide, displacing the Motorola RAZR, and in a regional
feature focus highlighted traffic from Latin America and the Caribbean has more than doubled in the
last year in the October 2008 AdMob Mobile Metrics Report, according to AdMob, a mobile advertising
marketplace.
The iPhone experienced strong traffic worldwide to become the No. 1 device, with 37 percent of
requests coming from outside of the US.
The iPhone experienced particularly explosive growth across AdMob's network after the company
launched its unique ad units for iPhone sites and applications in July 2008. There are currently
more than 400 applications and sites in the AdMob's iPhone Network. In October 2008, AdMob reached
more than 4.5 million iPhones, 1 out of every 3 on the market.*
Other highlights from the October 2008 report:
- 17 percent of iPhone requests came from Western Europe and 8 percent from Asia. Top markets
worldwide include the US, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Singapore, and Switzerland.
- In the US the iPhone is the No. 2 device behind the Motorola RAZR and in the UK it is the No. 3
device, behind the Nokia N95 and Sony Ericsson K800i.
- Traffic from Latin America and the Caribbean doubled in the past 12 months to 109 million
requests in October 2008. The fastest growing countries in the region include Puerto Rico, Guyana,
Costa Rica, Brazil, and Mexico.
- Motorola, Nokia, and Sony Ericsson all have more than 20 percent market share in Latin America
and are leaders in different markets. The Motorola RAZR is the top device in the market, followed
by the iPhone.
- Worldwide requests grew 13.8 percent month over month to 5.8 billion. US requests grew 7.9
percent to 2.2 billion and UK requests grew 16.0 percent.
- Sony Ericsson passed Motorola to become the No. 2 handset manufacturer worldwide. Apple jumped
ahead of LG and RIM to become the No. 5 handset manufacturer worldwide.
- The top 10 devices worldwide, in order, are the Apple iPhone, Motorola RAZR V3, Nokia N70,
Motorola KRZR K1c, Motorola W385, Nokia 6300, Nokia 3110c, Nokia N73, Motorola Z6m, and RIM
BlackBerry 8300.

Annoncé en septembre dernier, le Ruby de Motorola ne verra finalement jamais le jour, la

"Compal Communications has received orders for two Windows Mobile-based PDA phones, codenamed
the Alexander and Attila, from Motorola, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.
While both PDA phones are supporting 3.5G and Wi-Fi technologies, the Alexander features a
sliding-out QWERTY keyboard and the Attila features an iPhone-like touch panel, said the paper,
which also noted that shipments of the two PDA phones are now set in the first quarter of 2009
instead of the fourth quarter of 2008 as originally planned."
According to a Commercial Times report, Motorola's Alexander and Attila won't make an appearance until Q1 2009. Leaks suggest the two aren't
blessed with amazing features, so unless there are some hidden extras, Motorola will probably
have a tough time pitting these against the competition.

I have a Motorola Rokr z6m, i dropped it in a mop bucket about 4 months ago and now i did it again
today. So i put the phone in rice the first time and it survived. So do you think if i do the same
steps again will the phone last after the second time? I did not push the on button or any buttons
to see if the phone would work, i immediately pulled the battery.
I have a picture, the screen in brown, what is up with that?
O, and the white fuzzes is tissue paper, that i used to clean the display.
I would own a Iphone , but i don't have service in my area that has the Iphone.
Thanks in Advance!
