I'm having an issue with an InDesign CS3 file which is printing too dark and I can't figure out
what the problem is. I'm a little out of my element and would greatly appreciate any advice.
The document is a photo-based advertisement and it's coming out dark and muddy. It's printing
through an HP Designjet 130, but I don't suspect the printer as the problem because I ran a
calibration and when we print another ad it comes out perfect - identical to a copy which was
printed professionally.
The file looks fine on several computers/monitors, but always prints dark and muddy. I've played
with as many settings as I could think of - stuff like relative and perceptual colorimetric colors,
but when I deviate from the settings we always use, it only looks worse. In fact, we always print
with the same print settings, color and paper profiles, and the same paper, so the only thing which
seems to be different is this file itself.
I'm out of ideas and would really appreciate any advice you might have.

Something I would love to see in the iPhone is the ability to print to a networked printer (either
one being shared by an OS X machine, or one that is networked via ethernet/wifi). The ability to
view word and powerpoint files is nice, but being able to print these would be awesome.
Is this something that could be possible by a 3rd party app?

I would like to print from my Hackintosh to a printer on a windows network.
I am running a dual boot Windows Vista/Leopard OS X 86 10.5.5
The printer (Epson Stylus Photo RX425) is connected to another Vista PC via USB. This machine and
the dual boot machine share files and connect to the internet via a Netgear wireless router.
When booted to Vista on the dual boot machine I can print documents etc. on the printer connected
to the other Vista machine via the wireless network.
Now I want to print from the Leopard side of the dual boot machine.
I have tried to connect to the printer this way.
System preferences>Print & Fax>Click + to add printer>in new window>ckick Windows
tab>click workgroup>click connected machine>click installed printer(Epson Stylus Photo
RX420)>choose 'Select Driver To Use' from drop down box>choose 'Epson Stylus Photo Series
1.3'>Click 'Add'>Printer seems to be installed
When I try to print the application in use shows the printer but when I send the document nothing
prints.
When I open the printer queue I see the document to be printed, the queue says 'Printer ready' but
the document line says 'Stopped'
If I click the 'Resume' tab two things happen.
1: A diagloge box appears which says: 'Operation could not be completed'
'client-error-not-possible'
2: The printer icon briefly says 'Printing (document name)' then 'No document found'
Then the queue returns to 'Stopped'
Can anyone help me with this problem

h4About as dangerous as making toast, seemingly/h4 pScientists from Germany's renowned Fraunhofer
institutes have concluded that the much-hyped issue of laser printers emitting deadly toxic clouds
of toner particles is essentially bunk. Printers do emit small amounts of volatile organic
chemicals, but so do toasters..../p

Hi fellas!
I need some help here. My network solution on my office has it's core on the Time Capsule. I share
everything through there: external disk, internet and wireless printer.
Yet I have a problem! The printer connected to the Time Capsule, is also a fax/scanner, but I can't
seem to put the scanner to work. I mean, I can print anything from the printer through any
computer, yet I can't seem to scan.
It's almost like the printer wasn't connected/installed at all!
Do I have any problem, or Time Capsule just doesn't support this option (scanning)?
I have all the drivers from HP (it's a OfficeJet J4580), so I don't know why I can't scan anything
:(
Thank you very much for all the help.
