The Allmusic Blog -

Since slowly getting back into the record game a couple years ago, Slumberland seems to have been loading
up for a huge display of fireworks in 2008. The years spent in inactivity haven’t dulled
their knack for finding great pop bands and putting out great records, one after another.
The Lodger
- Life is Sweet
The Lodger’s debut album, Grown-Ups, was a fine slice of indie pop that called to
mind stellar groups like Orange Juice, the Wedding Present, and Heavenly, while making a case
that they might someday be mentioned in that same class. Life Is Sweet is a step forward
in both sound and song, and goes a long way toward making this thought a reality. (Read full
review and hear samples here)
Crystal
Stilts - Alight of Night
……a perfect blend of psychedelic gloom and garage rock punch, of indie pop hooks
and girl group drama, of noise and candy. It’s obvious from the first few seconds of
Alight of Night that Crystal Stilts aren’t doing anything shockingly new or
innovative, and that’s alright. They give the old noise pop formula enough of a kick to
make this a very worthwhile addition to any noise pop fan’s collection. (Read full review
and hear samples here.)
Cause
Co-Motion! - It’s Time! Singles & EPs 2005-08
The tinny, live-wire sound the quartet sends shooting through the wires is reminiscent of the
clatter and hiss of Henry’s Dress, the strutting songcraft calls to mind Jane Pow,
and the reverb-soaked recording style is a hallmark of the label’s approach from Black Tambourine to Aislers Set to now. (Read full
review and hear samples here.)
Along with these albums, Slumberland’s been crazy busy releasing singles all year. Starting
with their excellent Searching for the Now 7″ series (which features songs from
top poppers like Summer Cats, A Sunny Day in Glasgow and Bye!, Archie from Velocity Girl’s
new project), continuing with the return of the June
Brides‘ Phil
Wilson with an EP of interesting covers called Industrial Strength, and finishing
with a one-two knockout punch from Scotland by a couple bands formed out of the wreckage of
the
Royal We. Bricolage’s orange-y, juice-y single “Turn You Over” is all elbows
and knees up, Sexy Kids‘
“Sisters Are Forever” is a brilliant indie rock anthem with a huge, heartwarming
hook. Both leave the listener desperate for more!
All this and The
Pains of Being Pure At Heart full-length coming in early 2009 too. Check the video for the
first single “Everything For You” now and check back often to see what other magic
tricks Mike Slumberland has up his sleeve.

Atari has shed more like on AKI's Ready 2 Rumble Revolution for Wii, which the publisher said
yesterday would be released in March 2009.
R2RR adopts the Wii Sports standard of remote and nunchuk for boxing gloves and serves up 18
caricatured boxers based on sports, music and film stars to punch your way through in the game's
single-player Championship mode, where you also design your own boxer and build them up through
mini-games.
Then there's multiplayer, and Atari promises "hilarious moves, detailed facial animations, damage
textures and fighting techniques including special moves, combos, extreme knockdowns and special
'Rumble' combos". Meanwhile, the ring announcer is Michael "Let's Get Readyyyy To Rumble" Buffer.

Bare with me. If you don't want to hear my hypothesis please skip this post.
The series premise is on the "plan of God" and that there is a on going theme of things happening
again and again.
What i believe is that God's plan is to reset the human race every few hundred thousand years (well
the human race resets itself)
What happens is originally, the human race got so technoligcally superior that it set out to other
worlds to colonize. We became so powerful that we ourself became the Gods. The other worlds after
thousands of years the colonists would forget where Earth is...
However, we as God created our "children" - the Cylons. Our children fought back (just as we are
now fighting religion) and created themselves in our image.
As the series went along, the Cylon humans became more and more human. They had children with the
God's (us) and now their resurrection ship is gone, they are mortal.
I think eventually the human race will be wiped out with only a few cylons remaining to start anew
on Earth. The cycle repeats.
Anyone care to punch holes in my hypothesis or discuss further?

img src="http://cdn.thesuperficial.com//bfm_gallery/2008/12/kate moss jamie hince
fight/post_image/post_image-wenn2187824.jpg" border="0"br Is Kate Moss the Ike Turner of
super-modeling? It sure sounds that way. Last week her boyfriend Jamie Hince was spotted sporting a
shiner, and while the couple at first made some lame excuse about it, now the punch-tastic truth is
coming out. The a
href="http://www.nypost.com/seven/12022008/gossip/pagesix/kate_confesses_141750.htm"New York Post/a
reports: blockquoteKATE Moss has finally come clean about who gave her the scratches on her cheek
she recently sported: boyfriend and the Kills guitarist Jamie Hince. Moss had previously claimed a
box of Christmas decorations fell on her head, but Britain's Daily Mail reports she was overheard
at a London party for designer Stella McCartney admitting that she was actually involved in a
"scuffle" with Hince over their holiday plans. Hince, for his part, was left with a black eye,
which Moss says was the result of her "chunky ring." The on- again/ off-again pair are still
reportedly on./blockquote Some might wonder how Kate Moss, who weighs in at about 85 pounds, could
lay that kind of smackdown on a full-grown man. But there are two things to consider here: 1) Jamie
is British, and could probably be taken down with a crumpet to the forehead. 2) The amount of coke
that Kate Moss has done in her life could probably stretch around the Earth six times. After a
while that stuff will give you superpowers. (You can't argue with science.) Kate probably could
have made Jamie's head explode like an overripe zit just by blinking her eyes twice. To put things
in perspective, Amy Winehouse once suffocated a man to death just by twirling her beehive. True
