Hello, i need some real help installing the newest version of iDeneb. My computer specs are:
AMD 6000+ 3.1 Ghz Processor
Dual 2Gb DDR2 1066 Ram
SATA 3.0 gb/s Seagate 500Gb drive
ATI Sapphire HD3780 Card
I have been trying to install leopard for about 2 weeks now. I am kind of a n00b to this whole deal
here but every time i install and try to boot it goes to the apple loading screen with the weheel
spinning and i get the circle with the dash through it above the apple. This is when i keep my
drive settings on IDE. When i change them to AHCI the screen turns a darker grey and tells me i
need to reboot every time no matter what install. Can someone help me out here?

I'm having an issue where the phone will not let me slide to answer or unlock. I'll hit the home
button and the screen will come up with the slider, but if I swipe it won't move. I'll try
repeatedly and nothing. I usually have to hit the lock button and then the home button and try
again. It usually works like normal on the second attempt.
I was having a problem under 2.1 and sent in feedback. I was hoping 2.2 would fix it, but I'm still
having the same problem.
Has anybody have a similar problem? Solutions? I've tried a reboot as well and that did not seem to
work.

Hi mac user,
I was woundering if you can help me.
I have tried to install Bootcamp and since then, my mac reboot habit is weird. (insatallation did
not succeed). Firmware seems since then, mess up or corrupt.
Can not reboot, process is on but it get lost somewhere...as if it goes in deep sleep. Have to
reboot by pushing the power led until it really shutdows and reboot again.
Computer forget wich hd to boot from...
The time is ok, so I guess it is not a battery problem.
So... I reformat ALL my internal HD: extended journaled GUID. (My os is not on a raid)
Made updates osx 10.5.5 for my mac pro 2.66 , 1,1 model.
Tried to upgrade my firmware from 1.1 to 1.3 without success. Computer said no upgrade is
necessary... So it will not even give me the window to reboot.
Tried PRAM by booting command-option-p-r, does not work.
Tried NVram by opening Open firmware, does not work.
I see my loggin windows as if I did not old down appropriate key.
Tries extension off, does not work.
Tried update firmware with apple cd, not working.
Tried to update as power user, not working.
I looked everywhere on apple support and it does not tell me how to fix in case their product does
not work.
I have 11 gig ram
1x1tb hd seagate
2x 500mg hd in a raid seagate
1x250mg seagate
os 10.5.5
did 2 clean install with formating ( second time 0 formating)
Thank you for your time and help.
Regards,

img class=face src=http://planet.ubuntu.com/heads/maco.m.png alt= pI've got two patches that I need
to have tested on Jaunty. One has a deb. One is just in a branch./p ol liAs a new user, test Pidgin
from my PPA (linked above). For a new user, it should default to only showing the icon in the

can't test these myself, but until Jaunty is rebased to 2.6.28 or someone figures out how to make
my wireless card play nice (read: not kernel panic) with 2.6.24, I'm stuck on Hardy. Thank you to
anyone that helps, though!/p pOh, I do have one other question to ask though. To anyone using an
ASUS Z37E-based laptop, such as the ZaReason UltraLapSR: after you suspend/resume or

Ok, so i have a jailbroken phone, I bought it at the AT&T store about 10 months ago. Jailbroke
it fine... no problems, but suddenly today it starts acting weird. Every time i open an application
it quits...
When i turn it on it starts up in Disk Recovery Mode...
It's obvious that the "Home" button seems to be stuck in . not physically, but to the software.
Tried a full restore, and problem still is there, so it has to be hardware related.
What are my options, since i don't really have service with AT&T, will apple be able to service
it. If i can get a friend who has an iPhone to lend me his simcard, can i pop it in, and bring it
in for service under my name?
or... How would this story work... if i say that i restored it, and since when i reboot i can't get
out of disk utility mode, and it doesn't work i just took my simcard and put it in another phone.
So when i take it in, i don't have the sim card... or will they know?
I just want my iPhone fixed.. i payed a full $500 for it :(

I had hacked my Apple TV under 2.02 and when the new update came out, I updated. After the reboot,
I noticed my Apple TV couldn't see my Mac that it was previously synced with.
I tried a few things and nothing worked. So I went and restored my Apple TV. Still iTunes can't see
my Apple TV.
I've tried a number of restores and still nothing.
I went ahead and hacked it again with SSH and when I log into it I don't see anything out of
ordinary.
I tried killing mDNSResponder and saw this in syslog:
Tue Dec 2 04:32:28 AppleTV [-1] <Error>: 20:38)[199]: starting
Tue Dec 2 04:32:29 AppleTV mDNSResponder[-1] <Error>: Adding browse domain local.
Anyone have any ideas how to get my Apple TV to be seen by iTunes?
Thanks

You'd think there wouldn't be a ton of stuff to catch you post-Turkey blokes up with, but it's the
exact opposite. So here's some stuff(ing) and things to skim over today:
-- Folks are going bonkers today over news in Production Weekly that the much-anticipated
(and kinda secretive) Tron sequel has changed its title to TRZ in order to trick
young kids into thinking MTV has adapted their now-retired TRL for the big screen. Okay, that's not
the real reason ... but do we really need to know the real reason? TRZ? Here's the snippet
of plot synopsis they provided: "After being transported into the surreal landscape of a mainframe
computer to destroy an intruder, a programmer finds himself allied with the leader of a rebellion
against a corrupt cyber-entity." According to Disney, an official title for the Tron
sequel is not set yet.
-- George Miller finally went on the record and told a talk show in Sydney that he's officially off
Justice League. He's done. That's it. Over. Dark Horizons says Miller thinks the film will
be recast when (and if) it happens because "the studios seem to want bigger stars in their
superhero movies now." We wonder why?
-- According to Shock, a
source tells them Rob Zombie will indeed return
to direct Halloween 2, the follow-up to his successful (at the box office) reboot of the franchise,
titled Halloween. Additionally, the site claims Halloween 2 will begin shooting as early as this
March.
-- Why do all the Nazi flicks come out during the holidays? And how do you sell them?
-- Jennifer Hudson's estranged brother-in-law has been arrested for the deaths of the
actress/singer's mother, brother and nephew, according to CBS News.
After the jump: First looks at Whip It and Youth in Revolt, more on Chef and a very cool short film
contest.

There are some times when my MacBook Pro can find my windows vista and xp pro computers. But most
of the time it just won't see that they are there. I'll reboot the mac and nothing happens. I
installed that software for windows computers to see macs and since then they see each other once
in a while. The windows computers don't see the mac either. I'm not sure why this sometimes work
and other times it doesn't.
This is my first try on a Mac computer so I don't know a whole lot about them.
Please Help. Im confused.
Thanks

One complaint that I have had about my iPhone since I first got it, was that it forgot iPod tracks
that were played. This happened particularly after switching from one playlist, to another, and
always after a respring/reboot.
I use smart playlists extensively, that rely on "Last Played" and "Playcount" info, so this is a
big deal to me.
My playlists refresh themselves continuously, because I always add, "Not Played Within the Last 3
Days." That way, whenever a track is played, it disappears from the playlist, to be replaced by
something fresh.
This is great, unless the stupid thing forgets that it already played those tracks.
My fix for this is that I have actually been recreating a playlist of tracks that did not record as
being played, and then I'll play that playlist in my iPod. That way, when I sync both my iPod and
iPhone, the data will merge, and the smart playlists will update. Yes, I'm that neurotic. Quite
frankly, this is a major pain!
This morning, I was about to go through my usual routine, of syncing both my iPod and iPhone, when
I realized that nothing was missing!
There were no tracks in any of my listened-to smart playlists that had been played within the last
3 days! I checked my "Recently Played" playlist, and there they all were!
I'm hoping this isn't an isolated incident. This is the first time that I've checked for this since
updating to 2.2, and I'm hoping that Apple finally fixed this. I'm fairly sure that this must be
the case, since I know that some of those tracks were played before a reboot, and they were still
recorded as played, which never has worked for me before!
Has anyone else experienced this?

Hello!
It seems that using the BigBoss Flashlight.app has dimmed my screen to a point where the screens
back light is not even turning on anymore.
From what little I can make out on the screen, I have navigated into my settings and turned the
brightness all the way up. It was completely unresponsive. I have attempted to reboot. This also
gave me no success. Opening the flashlight app again does nothing, tapping the screen to swtich the
light on/off/or to flash does nothing.
I am left with a dim lifeless ipod! ah!
Any ideas?

pBefore we launch into our weekly exploits of the new, a well deserved Respeck Knuckles go to forum
member Parallax Abstraction and his PC repair company Digital Lifeline that saved me from the evils
of online miscreants and their sorcerers ways. He was able to remotely diagnose and do a deep clean
to smoke out a nasty little rootkit that had torpedoed my system. And, to answer his question: yes
that's a span style=font-style:italicStar Wars Galaxies/span icon on my desktop; I've just not
gotten around to uninstalling it yet. In two hours he was able to do what I was not with a full
day, thirteen incense burners, a Necronomicon and the blood or four cloven hooved ruminants./p pAs
for the release list for this first week of December, the choice for game of the week is a fairly
easy one. Ubisoft Montreal's span style=font-style:italicPrince of Persia/span is apparently a
reboot of a reboot, a new take on among the oldest franchises. Artistically the previews and
pre-release footage is stellar, and like every other game on the market these days the attention
has shifted to an open world structure, though honestly that could mean anything. Early buzz has
been fairly positive and there's not much else going on this week unless you've always longed to be
part of a Swedish 70s Super Group./p pSo, as we continue to wind down into the impending doldrums
of mid-to-late winter, Game of the Week goes to Prince./ppa

Hi there,
I'm considering the Rev B MBA HDD (when it's out), but I'm worried about three things:
1) Does some heavy work hog the HDD and makes the laptop unusable? I'm talking about some transfers
to USB drives, HD/SD video playback, ...
2) Everybody shows their bootup time on YouTube (55 sec is nothing to brag about), but I saw one
shutdown time... and it took awfully long. I'm not about to reboot it often, but I don't want to
wait a minute when I need to shut it down.
3) Is sleep instant? And how long does it take for the system to write 2 GB of RAM onto the hard
drive?
Thank you all for any info. (I guess the difference between Rev A and B won't be that drastic)
