Hot on the heals of today's look at the N97, Nokia has dropped the dime
on Home Music, the company's first internet radio. Meant for the office or smart
home, the device features WiFi and Ethernet connectivity, as well as the usual USB port, aux
line-in, analog and digital outs. For those of you who kick it old school once in a while, it also
sports an FM receiver and a 10W speaker. No pricing or shipping date yet, but you'll know as soon
as we do. In the mean time, hit the read link for more specs and info.

they're only available in Japan, so keep a keen eye out for import shops if you want to sport one

with one another. A full charge is able to offer up to 10 hours of non-stop audio, and they boast a
"twist-to-fit" design that allows your earbuds to stay in one's ears securely. Each purchase comes
with a 2.4GHz wireles receiver and four earbuds to allow you to share your favorite tunes with a

considering the current economic climate not to mention the heartache of losing one side. Being

Ok, so I was trying to help get ATV4Mac 2.3 working on a mini. I had the bright idea to try the new
ATV IR flash on the mini. It took it, but didn't fix the problem. Now though, when I reverted back
to an older version of ATV4Mac, the remote no longer works.
I haven't reloaded the OS, figured it wouldn't help since it was a flash that did this.
So, does anyone have any suggestions on how I can go about un-screwing myself?
Thanks,
Doc

When I buy my 120gb Classic will I be able to use it with this dock? Or will I have to get a
different one? If i have to get a different one what do you recommend?
thanks

Hey everyone, I'm kind of getting tired of lugging around my cd's all the time so I decided to dump
them all on a Ipod. I currently have 710 cd's and counting so it is going to be a real chore
ripping these all to the Ipod. I am kind of new to the whole Ipod thing(I'm old school) and don't
really know what bit rate to rip them in. I was thinking 256 but after a little reading it sounds
like Apple Lossless would be the best bet for true cd sound. I will be using the Ipod with
headphones(sennheiser) and also plugged into my Onkyo 606 receiver. I know that lossless takes alot
of space but can I fit all of my music on the 120g? If not what do you recommend?
I will be using a external hard drive for my music because my computer won't hold it all. Is it
easy to do? and what size external HD will do the trick?
Also, my Onkyo Receiver came with a Ipod Dock that says it is compatable with 5th,4th,2nd and 1rst
generation Ipods and also Ipod Photo so will a 120 work with it? It is a brand new receiver so I'm
thinking it should but I don't really know. If not is there a Apple dock that I can buy that will
work with the ipod and my receiver?
Thanks for all the help

I have been trying to get the HDMI sound to work from my Visiontek HD4870.
Vista 64 sp1
Using Official DVI adapter
Connected to a SONY ST-DGR820
I am using the latest Catalyst(8.11) and Realteck (2.09) Drivers
The CCC sees my SONY receiver and recognizes it as a HDMI connection. The Device shows up as a
VisionTek HDMI audio in Playback devices. When I try to configure speakers I can only configure
stereo not 5.1 or 7.1, the option does not even appear.
I get normal stereo sound from Windows, and I do get PCM 5.1 sound when playing movies in VLC and
GOM Media player after installing the proper DTS codecs and setting the players to use SPIDIF.
Because this works with 5.1 sound in these programs does this mean its not a Physical DVI problems
that I would need DVI doctor for?
When I tried to play games I only get stereo, I don’t see any options to use SPIDIF in the
games either in the individual game settings or in the OS itself.
I also did a fresh install of Vista on a spare hard drive with all the rest of the same equipment
and get the same problem.
What am I over looking? Am I doing something wrong? Any help is appreciated.

I have an AppleTV, a Samsung series 6 plasma, and a Bose 3-2-1 GS receiver/DVD player/speaker
set-up. The problem I have is the following: I have encoded about 300 movies with the required AAC
track and then the AC-3 track, and occasionally another AC-3 director commentary track or other
such audio, always in AC-3 format. The AppleTV recognizes these multiple audio tracks, but refuses
to play the AC-3 track, instead, playing the AAC track.
The connection of devices is as follows - AppleTV -> Samsung Plasma via HDMI -> audio to BOSE
via optical out from plasma.
Is it possible that in the HDMI handshake, the plasma is calling for stereo sound only, since that
is what it's speakers are set-up for (even though I'm not using them) and that is all the AppleTV
will provide (thus the AAC track)? I don't have a receiver with HDMI inputs, so I'm unable to hook
this up differently to test it with a true 5.1 source.
Thanks in advance.
