Une semaine après avoir pris son premier point En Coupe de l'UEFA à domicile contre Santander (2-2), le PSG a doublé son capital mercredi en obtenant le nul de son déplacement à Manchester City (0-0). Pas assez pour quitter la dernière place du groupe A mais suffisant pour jouer sa qualification dans deux semaines au Parc contre Twente, tombeur de Schalke 04 lors de cette troisième journée (2-1).

Au sein d'une compétition relevée (Milan AC, FC Valence) le PSG a bénéficié d'un tirage ait sort délicat avec Schalke 04, FC Twente, Real Santander et... Manchester City!
