là !/p pimg title=logo_slime_volley.png, nov 2008 style=margin: 0 auto; display: block; alt=

Je me suis notamment
pouvoir jouer contre l'ordi.

If you want to pick up a camera
for your loved one that is as much a fashion statement as it is a photography device,
you’ve gotta consider the fashionista-friendly Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T700. It’s not
all about the looks, though, because this camera packs in a bunch of features. Like what? How
about anti-blink and Smile Shutter technology? It also features a 3.5-inch ultra-high resolution
touchscreen display, shoots at up to 10.1 megapixels, and includes 4GB of internal memory. It
also includes the Picture Motion Browser software package, but seriously, who’s gonna use
that? The Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T700 retails for $399.99, but on Amazon we were able to find
substantial discounts, depending on which color you were interested in:
There’s also a gold version, but we didn’t include that one since there was no
discount available on it. Definitely a good gift for the woman in your life.

img src="http://planet.gnome.org/heads/logos/gnome-scan.png" alt="" align="right" pHi,/p pThe
rewrite is going on. I can’t publish it yet because it is incomplete et break a lot of
things. Anyway, i want you to know that the project is far from dead. I manage to work on it about
few hours a day allowing to make some visible progress./p pThese days, i almost finished the first
two steps : reworking the maindialog. This work consists of merging configuration and acquisition
dialog, splitting acquisition dialog into several widgets for handling scanner selector, options
(page, box, widgets) and preview. All those rework mean rewriting one way or another. I just choose
to rewrite in Vala./p pThis rework imply a lot of rework in the ground base of the library :
options and pipeline représentation. Options are now far more smarter. Options replace old
ParamSpec. The difference is in the intelligence in it. Options will handle themselves signaling
their changes to other object, they handle their value themselves including saving and storing to
GConf (not yet). This will allow saving to GConf high level option like paper size, lists, areas
and every boxed type you can find in options./p pThe option handling has changed a bit in order to
completely split engine from GUI. There is now an option manager which stores rules to determine
which widget handle one option. It allow to specify a widget to handle an option considering its
name or its type. This is far more grained and finally efficient since there is one rule for each
instance of option rather than on type stored in each option./p pOther area of rework are the
pipeline. The job is now constituted of nodes (instead of plugins) with a scanner at begin and a
sink at the end. Each node has a status (initializing, unconfigured, ready, processing, etc.) and
the job take the status of the least status node (e.g. if scanner is initializing and sink is
ready, then gnome-scan is still initializing). Since option are self signaling, nodes knows on the
fly the actual value from users, allowing to update their status accordingly (from unconfigured to
ready and vice-versa)./p pOn top of that, the new dialog looks exactly the same and behave mostly
the same. Changes includes dynamic building of the UI (just to save some CPU cycle before showing
dialog), dynamic handling of status (exposing actual status in selector and disabling buttons
according to status). This status handling will avoid user to launch unusable scan configuration
leading to unpredictable result (i.e. crash)./p pOptions widget are now packed in option box (with
bold title), themselves packed in option page (each per tab). All of these widgets are auto-hidden
and auto-expanded allowing the dialog to not care about packing option while providing high level
widget to build custom dialog./p pAlso, configuration and acquisition has been merged in the same
dialog. This allow to go back and forth. Imagine you just want to change to orientation of the next
photo ... now you can ! I wonder whether i should expose some options for each scan (like
orientation and file name) just below the progress bar. This will allow to name each frame of a
scan (be it for flegita filename of f-spot photo description or GIMP layer name). This UI will be
greyed during scan. Feedback welcome./p pAbout a href=http://vala-project.org/Vala/a. This language
is pretty cool. Writing 1 line of vala produce about 3,2 lines of C. This helps a lot. In the mean
time vala is still a 0.X software (like a href=http://gegl.org/GEGL/a, like ... GNOME Scan !) and i
have to send some patches againts vala binding or vala itself. All in all, vala allows me to write
pretty good code and faster. 0.5 rewrite was fast thanks to Anjuta GObject class generator. Vala
helps me a lot in rewriting GNOME Scan./p pThe next step is to build a single instance of the GEGL
pipeline allowing dynamic preview. Actually implement acquisition. Then preview and processing will
take place. Commit. Then porting gSANE backend and gimp plugin to new API and writing flegita-print
(the GNOME photocopier). I have no clue whether i’ll be able to publish a 0.7.1 with feature
parity against 0.6./p pOh, i was forgetting the a
href=http://bersace03.free.fr/pub/tmp/gnome-scan-0.7.0.ogvscreencast/a i made, showing some UI
changes img

go out on the streets to share the gospel, you put them down. That tells me one thing, you are
against God's word. Jesus said if you are not with him you are against him. Just some words of
wisdom for you James. Jeff Well, isn't that special? And may I say, Jeff, that
you, sir, are one of the best friends the Mormons ever had?
Der Spielgel profiles a 42-year-old woman who has perfect "episodic memory" "People say to me: Oh,
how fascinating, it must be a treat to have a perfect memory," she says. Her lips twist into a thin
smile. "But it's also agonizing." In addition to good memories, every angry word, every mistake,
every disappointment, every shock and every moment of pain goes unforgotten. Time heals no wounds
for Price. "I don't look back at the past with any distance. It's more like experiencing everything
over and over again, and those memories trigger exactly the same emotions in me. It's like an
endless, chaotic film that can completely overpower me. And there's no stop button." She's
constantly bombarded with fragments of memories, exposed to an automatic and uncontrollable process
that behaves like an infinite loop in a computer. Sometimes there are external triggers, like a
certain smell, song or word. But often her memories return by themselves. Beautiful, horrific,
important or banal scenes rush across her wildly chaotic "internal monitor," sometimes displacing
the present. "All of this is incredibly exhausting," says Price. An Infinite Loop in the Brain (Via

A couple of days ago, Théophile Kouamouo [Fr], a blogger based in Abidjan (Côte
d'Ivoire), started
a meme asking bloggers to reflect on why blog about Africa:
Do we blog for the diaspora and for the world at large, cut off from our contemporary on the
continent? Is blogging about Africa done in the same way as blogging about Europe or Asia? Does the
African-oriented blogosphere have something specific to offer to the world version 2.0?
After tagging a few fellow African bloggers, Téophile offered his own
