The music format support: MP3, AAC, AAC+, eACC+, WMA (including protected WMA). With its 400 MB of internal storage, users may store abundant videos and music in the phone. Il pèse 145g.

Pour pallier à la médiocre interface graphique de Windows Mobile 6.1, le constructeur a ajouté sa propre surcouche graphique à l’image de ce que fait HTC avec sa gamme Touch.

Rien de bien surprenant dans cette annonce quand on sait que Nokia est un partenaire de longue date de Symbian.

L’information est plutôt à chercher du côté de la création confirmée ce jour d’une Fondation Symbian, qui a pour vocation de faire passer le système d’exploitation Symbian sous le régime de l’open source avec Eclipse Public License.

Tous ceux qui le souhaitent peuvent devenir membres de la Symbian Foundation pour un adhésion annuelle de 1500 dollars. Les développeurs qui souhaitent perticiper au programme Symbian n’auront pas à s’acquitter de cette dîme.

La Fondation Symbian se donne pour objectif d’unifier les plate-formes Symbian, S60, UIQ et MOAP(S) et d’accélérer le développement d’un système d’exploitation standard puissant qui permettra la convergence entre les différents mobiles du marché, qui représentent avant toute autre chose, selon Nokia, le premier moyen d’accès à internet.

Est-ce que Symbian sera en mesure de contrer la progression inexorable de l’Android de Google, de l’iPhone et, ne l’oublions pas, du futur Windows Mobile 7, sachant que la “marque” Symbian reste quand même largement identifiée comme un système propriétaire équipant presque exclusivement les machines Nokia (et Sony Ericsson) ? Réponse dans quelques années, quand nous aurons donc le choix entre 4 systèmes d’exploitation mobiles.

Belle concurrence en perspective : espérons seulement qu’elle soit profitable aux consommateurs…

Aunque el iPhone haya apostado por lo táctil sin vuelta a atrás, los fabricantes que llevan más tiempo en la industria no lo tienen tan claro. Su perfil de cliente es todavía un poco distinto, y tanto BlackBerry como span class="caps"HTC/span o la propia Nokia con este strongN97/strong, lo demuestran día tras día./p pEl strongNokia N97/strong es el segundo emteléfono con pantalla táctil/em que saca el fabricante finlandés. Lo hace justo después del a href="http://www.xataka.com/2008/10/03-nokia-5800-xpressmusic"Nokia 5800 XpressMusic/a, que fue un primer acercamiento, dentro de una gama importante pero no la que le da prestigio últimamente al fabricante. Apostó entonces por dejar todo el control del teléfono a la experiencia con su pantalla táctil que nos proporcionaba una respuesta cada vez que pulsamos en las opciones, y que nos podría valer para un uso del teléfono en modo ocio. No es una idea ni mucho menos nueva, incluso Nokia ya la había implementado en sus famosos Nokia Navigator, aunque a otro nivel. /p pEn este caso la pantalla tiene un tamaño de strong3.2 pulgadas/strong, con un resolución más que aceptable de 640 por 360 píxeles a 16 millones de colores. El formato de la misma es de 16:9, lo se agradece para la navegación web con el terminal en modo apaisado (y aprovechando el teclado entonces) y para la reproducción multimedia, otro de los puntos destacables de este strongNokia N97/strong./p pLa tecnología táctil que usa Nokia en este strongN97/strong no es multitáctil sino la misma que ya emplea en el Nokia 5800. Las teclas, separadas, a simple vista parecen cómodas a pesar de su reducido tamaño. Su peso sí que parece un mayor problema, pues sube a los 150 gramos./p pTeniendo ya experiencia con las strongbaterías/strong, Nokia se ha curado en salud y ha anunciado una capacidad de 1500 mAh para la que incorpora este teléfono. En números fríos supone una autonomía de 400 horas en espera, 320 minutos en conversación (con cobertura 3G) y en aspectos menos telefónicos nos deja un día y medio seguido escuchando música (37 horas) y hasta 4.5 horas si optamos por visualizar vídeo en la pantalla del strongNokia N97/strong./p h1Cámara de fotos y reproducción multimedia/h1 pLa cámara de fotos del Nokia N97 es un clásico dentro de los terminales Nseries. Se trata de un modelo con resolución de 5 megapíxeles y óptica Carl Zeiss Tessar y flash de doble span class="caps"LED/span, con apertura f2.8 para mejorar las fotos que hacemos de noche sin flash. La cámara nos permite además grabar vídeo en calidad span class="caps"DVD/span a 30 fps, los cuales podemos reproducir sin problemas, junto con archivos MP4, en la pantalla del teléfono./p pEl material multimedia y las fotos que vayamos tomando las podemos almacenar en la memoria interna de 32 GB que nos ofrece el Nokia N97. Además, y es todo un acierto, podemos ampliar ese espacio con tarjetas microSD de hasta 16 GB, lo que nos daría un espacio total de strong48 GB/strong en el teléfono./p h1Conectividad y span class="caps"GPS/span, servicios alrededor/h1 pEl strongNokia N97/strong, como los teléfonos actuales, ha sido pensado, o nos gustaría pensarlo, para estar todo el tiempo conectado.
