/I've always wanted an old radio, like this 1946 Stromberg Carlson recreation. But it would just be
something that I looked at, like, "ooh, neat...now what?"/p pThis particular radio actually has a
PC inside. So while the exterior is a tribute to the Ingraham Cabinet Co, an influential design
company behind many wooden radio cabinets of the 30s and 40s, the interior houses a 1.6GHz VIA, 4GB
of DDR2 RAM and a 64GB SSD.br / img

G-Skill SATA II MLC 1280 Go, le Patriot Warp 2 SATA II MLC 128 Go et enfin le Intel X25-M MLC 80

You know what we could really use right now? A chunky slab of XP running on a device that is
simultaneously too big for our pockets but less functional than a netbook. Oh, what's that Trigem,
you've got that? Suweet. Meet the LLUON Mobbit PS400, an Atom Z520-powered UMPC MID with a 4.8-inch
(1,024 x 600) touchscreen LCD, 2 megapixel camera, 1GB memory, choice of 30GB hard disk or 16GB
SSD, WiFi, and Korean WiMax (WiBro) and digital television (T-DMB). Here's the interesting part:
the price. According CNET, it will cost "around" $411 (600,000 won) when it ships in January --
that's a lot of kit for that price (the similarly-speced
R50A from ASUS costs over $1,800). If true, then the Mobbit looks to have finally achieved the
pricing
goal set by Microsoft and Intel for these UMPC-class devices way back in early 2006. Add the
RAM- and touch-friendly Windows 7 OS and we might finally be home... albeit 3-years (too?)
late.

Are there any tests that compare a 1.6GHz to 1.8GHZ(1.86GHz for Rev B) with the exact same
configuration? For example I would be interested in comparing 1.6GHZ with HDD with a 1.8GHZ with
HDD(Not SSD).
The reason I ask is I would think the 1.6GHz would generate less slightly less heat and have a
slightly longer battery life as compared to the 1.86GHz. So there might be more than just money
saved when going with a 1.6GHz ;)

own a Dell Inspiron Mini 9 netbook and want to give it a much needed boost (storage-wise, of
course), perhaps you can consider a couple of new Buffalo SSDs that come in 16GB and 32GB
capacities. Sure, performance might not see any significant improvements, but at least you have all
that extra space to store your data, music and video./p pPermalink: a
