When you have cracked the code, if you go File, there is a little button you can press it will open

Hitachi's 1.5-inch
thick 50-inch plasma wasn't exactly front and center like we had imagined, but it was there
garnering stares nonetheless. Donning a glossy white finish and displaying nothing but floral
arrangements, the set looked pretty good (though not great) in terms of visual quality.
The design, however, was simply stunning. And just as promised, we did include the obligatory
iPhone comparison, though you'll have to account for the Belkin skin when drawing your conclusions.
Give it a peek in the gallery below.

The 2008 Toronto International Film Festival is officially underway, and as always
Cinematical is your one-stop-shop for all things TIFF. Our reviews, galleries, interviews
and scene coverage will begin to populate the main page soon, but in the meantime we've been
sharing some great exclusive clips, images and posters from some of the more talked-about flicks
screening in Toronto this year. Below, feast your eyes on a clip from Picasso & Braque Go To The
Movies, produced and narrated by none other than Martin Scorsese. The film,
from art dealer-producer-director Arne Glimcher ( The Mambo Kings) delves deep into the
relationship between film and the visual arts, and it features folks like Scorsese, Chuck Close and
Julian Schnabel. For more on Picasso and Braque, see the film's official summary over on
the TIFF website.

If you’re in search for two things of major importance each day, they undoubtedly are 1)
food, and 2) a roof. Which is why a search engine by the name of Circos, which we
spotlighted briefly back in January and has just been re-launched, is so compelling. The
items on which it pays focus are twofold: restaurants and hotels. That’s all. For now, at
least.
What’s most interesting is the way Circos is organized. It can be used as something of an
arbitrary, emotion-based search utility. It provides a menu of checkboxes for users to specify as
a personality match. Once a choice is made, a click of the ‘Go’ button
near the center of the page takes you to a list of results. The accuracy of the engine when used
in that manner is of course dependent on one’s location, which Circos determines
automatically, so if you’re scouring Small Town, America, what follows might be considered
lacking. Or, if you have trouble taking the keywords for what they’re worth, you can
customize a search via the box at the top of the page. Enter a city name, type of food, type of
hotel (“luxury,” “cheap,” etc.), and proceed to the next page.
For each result you can see short quotes from reviews on sites like TripAdvisor and Yahoo Travel,
plus an option on view what people speak of when they discuss a particular place. Click through
to a specific page and you’ll see a graphical view of what people have said. And if you
chose to observe tags in “word view,” and you specify one label or another, the
corresponding reviews will emerge in kind.
Granted, such options are a bit more playful than some users might like. But the overall
objective is achieved, I think. It’s a less clinical option for discovering places to eat
and/or stay than services which deliver massive amounts of information to sift through,
chock-full of figures, dollar-for-dollar comparisons and so forth. If you want to take a public
opinion-influenced approach to your search for restaurants and hotels, Circos is something to
consider.
It isn’t just visual appeal that Circos provides. It’s really quite useful. Other
engines will do more. Some, much more. But it’s a pleasing alternative.

Welcome to this week's Games Update, our weekly summary featuring all new product arrivals from the
last seven days.
Interesting games that came out this week include the US versions of hot games such as Disgaea 3:
Absence of Justice and Tales of Vesperia. So to those who owned NTSC U/C encoded systems or those
who don't speak Japanese, here is your portal to these hit Japanese RPGs.
Aside from localized RPGs, some very popular Xbox360™ games came out.
Fight dirty in Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, unlike the above mentioned Japanese RPGs, you are
not located in a fantasy world where there is a path to justice, you are not fighting to become a
hero, you are trying to benefit from chaos.
The other Xbox360™ game differs greatly from the above mentioned fiery
actioner. Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise is about creating an utopic world for pinata animals.
Since rent has become expensive and very few people have the luxury of owning a garden the size of
a forest, make use of your Xbox360™ portal to another world.
No matter how forgiving a person is, there must have been one or two people whom they love to hate.
Face Breaker allows you to relieve this grudge and lower your stress levels. Disfigure your
opponent's face through your powerful punches, but be careful not to mix up the virtual world with
reality.
Your home consoles can make a lot of your wishes come true, not only can you own a paradise-like
garden, now you can even own multiple Ferraris through your
PlayStation3™. Ferrari Challenge allows you to join professional and
amateur racers on the most famous race tracks around the world.
Get off your Ferraris and enter the Abyss to deplete the demon population as the queen's champion
in Abyss Gate. Travel into the depths of the shadows to protect your country. Although menacing,
shadows are not neccessarily a source of evil, in Blue Dragon Plus, a sequel to its highly popular
Xbox360™ predecessor, you cast your shadow over your enemies as
weapons.
Aside from games, a couple of interesting soundtracks also came out. The challenge bemani games
pose have amused and frustrated many people and the key to the games' success is in the music.
Synthesized, by Fujimori Sota and Pop'n Music 16 Party is going to revitalize a lot of people via
its energetic tunes.
As usually, here's a summary of all new releases from this week, followed by a quick preview of
what is expected to be hot next week.

NEW YORK -- In Signs of Change: Social Movement Cultures 1960s to Now hundreds of posters,
photographs, moving images, audio clips, and ephemera bring to life over forty years of activism,
political protest, and campaigns for social justice. Curated by Dara Greenwald and Josh MacPhee as
part of Exit Art’s Curatorial Incubator Program, this important and timely exhibition surveys
the creative work of dozens of international social movements.
Organized thematically, the exhibition presents the creative outpourings of social movements, such
as those for civil rights and black power in the United States; democracy in China; anti-apartheid
in Africa; squatting in Europe; environmental activism and women's rights internationally; and the
global AIDS crisis, as well as uprisings and protests, such as those for indigenous control of
lands; against airport construction in Japan; and for social change in France. The exhibition also
explores the development of powerful counter-cultures that evolve beyond traditional politics and
create distinct aesthetics, life-styles, and social organizations.
Although histories of political groups and counter-cultures have been written, and political and
activist shows have been held, this exhibition is a groundbreaking attempt to chronicle the
artistic and cultural production of these movements. Signs of Change offers a chance to see
relatively unknown or rarely seen works, and is intended to not only provide a historical framework
for contemporary activism, but also to serve as an inspiration for the present and the future.
During the exhibition, there will be ongoing screen printing workshops with guest artists and
activists in collaboration with the Lower East Side Printshop as well as the following programs and

Introduced by Sabu Kohso, Japan-born writer and activist, and Barbara Hammer, filmmaker.
In 1966, the Japanese government seized land and farms to build a larger airport near Narita. Local
peasants, framers and activists created a powerful resistance movement, delayed construction for
years, and disrupted the building process and airport's opening. Although the government prevailed,
for many in Japan, the Narita revolt is remembered as a heroic moment. This absorbing and rare
documentary film chronicles this story. $5 at the door.

Exit Art's commitment to young and emerging curators and scholars in contemporary art, by giving
material, financial, and human resources to developing curatorial talent. Working with Exit Art
directors and staff, fellows curate large-scale exhibition projects, learn fundraising, develop
outreach and educational programs, and co-publish a catalogue. Access to Exit Art's acclaimed
archives facilitates these curatorial fellows' abilities to contextualize their projects within
international and historical frameworks. The second show of the Curatorial Incubator Program will
open in February 2008. Corpus Extremus, curated by artist Boryana Rossa, will present work by
artists who investigate the revolutionary changes taking place in technological and scientific

SCEA marketing man John Koller last week told the world the new PSP's brighter screen would mean
increased power consumption and thus around 20-30 minutes reduced battery time. Logical, you'd
think. But now Koller says he was wrong.
In a corrective statement today, Koller has said that the new PSP-3000 will actually have
equivalent battery life to the current PSP Slim.
"I'd like to make a correction and clarify that the new PSP will have equivalent battery life to
the current PSP, about 4 to 6 hours for games and about 4 to 5 hours for UMD videos," said Koller
on the official PS blog.
He goes on to explain: "While the enhanced screen of the new PSP draws a little more power, our
engineers in Japan worked to reduce the power consumption of the overall system including its
components, so you won't have to worry about losing any time when enjoying the more vibrant visuals
displayed with the new PSP."
We expect the internet to put this to the test the minute it becomes available.
The new console, with its nicer screen and built-in microphone (oh, and equivalent battery life),
will be out in UK on October 17 for £149.99.
