I just installed VMWare Fusion on my Hackintosh it told me I had to turn off by holding down the power button for a few seconds.
I did so, got to the grey mac screen and it told me again. So I did it again. Now I am stuck at the apple grey screen with just the logo (no spinner).

Hello, I am new to the Mac World. It has been the best computer experience in my life by the way! I've just had a couple bumps in the road: When I used Windows, Bitlord was mas favorite torrent client. Now that I switched to Mac I've been using Transmission. I like transmission ,but it downloads at 1/4 of my download speed and it does not keep a constant download rate. I am sure the problem is in Mac Os X or in Transmission, because if I run Windows (even in VMware fusion) I get my whole download speed. What do you recommend so I am able to download faster in Transmission?

Hi there,

It seems that the use on Mac os X of Vmware or Parallels changed my system ID in windows partition. Since my system ID has been changed i cannot run a specific software which license key is valid only for my original system id.
Do you have any idea how i can restore the system ID back to the original?

Thinking of adding an external slim line DVD±RW that has Lightscribe.

Are all Lightscribes created equal and any issues with using the lightscribe feature under 10.4? I've read many people suggest LaCie but those seem to be older posts. I'm hoping that things have changes since now and LG or others would work.

I guess the other option would be under XP/VMWare as that's the environment/software that gets most of my use to "back-up" my DVD's.

Having a little problem with VMWare Fusion.

After using Windows XP for a while the screen get's corrupted as shown in attachment.

If I exit full screen it's fine, then going back to full screen causes corruption again. I can reboot the VMware XP and go back full screen and the corruption occurs again.

If I shutdown the entire iMac and start again it works for a while, couple be a couple of days even a week before the corruption starts again.

Has anyone else seen this? Could it be hardware?
