la pista por la rodadura norte, momento en el que el comandante nos comunica que tuvieron que
rechazar el despegue por culpa de un fallo en el sistema de frenado automático y que
volvemos hacia la terminal para que los mecánicos comprueben si hay algún fallo
más en el sistema de frenado. También nos dio las gracias por nuestro comportamiento,
imagino que agradecido de que no se hubiera desatado un ataque de histeria colectiva a bordo; de
hecho no hubo ningún tipo de grito ni exclamación./li/ol pEn principio no nos
desembarcaron, pero cuando los mecánicos determinan que la avería es seria ya nos
hicieron desembarcar y más tarde indicaron por megafonía que aquellos que hubieran
facturado maletas se pasaran a recogerlas, momento a partir del que se lió la de San
Quintín por la falta de explicaciones acerca de cómo y cuando iban a recolocarnos en
otros vuelos y porque al principio sólo había una persona atendiendo los mostradores
de Iberia, pero todo esto del tratamiento que recibimos en tierra es anecdótico frente a lo
que es un despegue abortado./p pHabrá que esperar al pertinente informe de la a

alcanzar la velocidad de rotación, ya que despegando por la 04 los A320 la alcanzan
más o menos a la altura de la pista de rodadura norte./p pDiría incluso que la
tripulación comenzó a frenar el avión bastante antes de alcanzar la rodadura
sur, que está a unos 500 metros de la cabecera de la pista 04. En cualquier caso, como ya
decía antes, el avión estaba detenido antes de llegar a la rodadura norte, que
está a unos 900 metros de la citada cabecera./p pPor supuesto el miedo es libre y cada uno
habrá sentido lo que sea, pero me parece increíble leer cosas como que si
estábamos a punto de alcanzar la velocidad de despegue, que hubo un brusco frenazo, o que el

Better late than never, I suppose, especially if you're a religious person who loves The Beatles.
But it happened at last: On Saturday, the Vatican's official newspaper L'Osservatore
Romano finally rethought John Lennon's infamous 1966 claim that his band was "more popular
than Jesus."
And, yea, it was all good.
In a curious twist, the way-past-due change of heart and mind came on the 40th anniversary of
The White Album's 1968
release. Look Vatican, we don't want to tell you how to do your job, but you might have
wanted to forgive Lennon's statement in 2007, the 40th anniversary of its epochal Sgt.
Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
Sure, we'd argue that The White Album, which is really named The Beatles, is a
more lasting classic than its globally influential predecessor. But you might want to consider
the fact that Charles Manson misread the double-album as a code for an apocalyptic class and race
war, George Harrison suggests "a damn good whacking" for "Pigs" in power, Lennon calls for
"Revolution" not once but twice (that is, after he claims that "Happiness is a Warm Gun"), and
McCartney kicks off the effort with a sex parody about Russian girls.
We're just saying.
"The talent of Lennon and the other Beatles gave us some of the best pages in modern pop music,"
the Vatican mouthpiece argued,
according to the UK's Telegraph, adding that only "snobs" would look down on the Fab
Four at this stage of the immortality game. After all, L'Osservatore Romano concluded,
The Beatles have indeed shown "an extraordinary resistance to the effects of time."
Time was indeed the essence of Lennon's comment. ""Christianity will go. It will vanish and
shrink," he
blasphemed in 1966. "I don't know which will go first, rock and roll or Christianity."
Don't look now, Beatles, but I think Jesus just threw in the towel.
